KOLD News 13 Tucson is currently running a special report focused on a urgent FBI report outlining a possible terrorist threat in southern Arizona. It speaks specifically to Fort Huachuca in Sierra Vista. The document gives no timetable or explanation of how the threat will be carried out. But it does say, “a group of Iraqis may have entered the United States through tunnels from Mexico into Arizona,” and those same “Iraqis are believed to be the ones who will perpetrate the attack on Fort Huachuca.

Sheesh, SW. I would imagine it is disturbing to you. We’re what, 200 miles away? That’s still disturbing.

Tucson is filled with the snow birds (motor homes) this time of year.

We’re locked and loaded.

OTOH, the Islamofacists are trying to mess with our holidays and economy. They are not going to get away with it here. As you know, AZ is open carry.

As if Border Control Fanatic is a bad thing. We need more of them in Washington before the reconquista is complete.

But there are rattlesnakes sunning themselves during the day. They will have to be veddy, veddy quiet. Then a few mountain lions will attack from afar, and if one is only injured the coyotes will eat them.

It’s the Circle of Life.

Because they’re carring “something” with them, could be a reason; the tunnels are made for smuggling.

I hope they don’t shoot the person in front of them in the arse — errrr, maybe I do. Kind of like dominoes.

"It has to be at least two years ago now that there was a news report (Yahoo news, I believe) that quoted Border Patrol officials calling a portion of this area ‘’Arab Alley’’ because of the number of middle eastern men caught there. So NOW it’s big news?!"

Yes, but the talking points for the open borders bunch has always been that there was no "evidence" that terrorists come in across the Mexican borders.

“Opinions aside, not everyone views the report as an imminent threat.

One former Congressman, who asked not to be identified for this report, said the document seems “dubious” and “without merit.” Not only that, it’s dated May 14th, 2007.

That was six months ago.

And Fort Huachuca hasn’t seen an attack yet.”

This report is 6 months old.

It is a military base, but it’s primarily for the signal corp, I believe.

Sierra Vista is a nice town. Big enough for a standard Walmart and K-mart, thanks to the base being there.

I was there a few years ago for a few days. The weirdest thing I saw was some car speeding down the main street at something like 80 MPH. I heard the next day it was filled with illegals and I believe it had crashed.

They have to put up with a lot of border stuff, being only a half hour from Mexico

They never carve "Ahkmed Khalife Mohammed Hussain was here" on the trees. That proves it.

Yes, we were there last year and went through Sierra Vista....but don’t remember much. Do remember a previous trip down in that area where out in the middle of nowhere we got stopped by border patrol.....

It sounds like you have just described an excellent locale for an ambush.

Well, the dad-gum BP did not learn a thing from us because we went in "fully and visibly armed." I walked right by two BP SUV's checking my radios and the five other guys that were with me were checking their "hardware." That afternoon we bumped into a group of about 6 - 10 being lead by a MS-13 about 800 yards north of the border. They took off so fast the MS-13 guy lost his cute little black mask. If you come across any pics of the communication center for the original Minuteman Project you might see it. It was hanging on the wall next to the flag by the back door.

Moral of the story? If thou go forth in the appearance of "meaning it," thou shall not be harmed.

BTW, we did go back and sit on the creek bed for a couple of nights after that. All was quiet, not a creature stirring, not even a little mexican mouse.

"It is a military base, but it’s primarily for the signal corp, I believe."

Actually, it is the primary Army intelligence and counter-intelligence training center. There have been articles in the Tucson and other area papers lately about training exercises replicating Iraqi village and city conditions, including IED's, bad guys & good guys.

Then a few mountain lions will attack from afar, and if one is only injured the coyotes will eat them.

Did I forget to mention the 4-5,000 foot climb to the ridgeline that will pretty much leave the average little terr out of breath and hardly able to move?

My bad.

Why not? It is not ñike the oñd days where a fort had high waññs and ñots of troopps around. Most forts now a days are hutge reservations and easy to infiltrart. I bet the only thing protecting this place os a company or so of MPs.

They couñd stike hard kill some people and go back across the norder and sit back and wait for the political fallout and the dust to settle.
