People are posting comments on this thread which actually suggest that we must (pretend to) ignore the basis for a presidential candidate's entire belief system. That's nuts. The problem comes when the analysis of the candidates belief system is flawed. It was the untruths that were foisted in the push polls that caused Mitt to react. It is very American to defend ones particular faith position when it is unjustly attacked.
