They do act rationally if you understand that many Jews view the Republican Party as the Christian party.
From the article:
Protestant America was painted as the tribal enemy tooth and claw of the US jewish establishment without Protestant America even knowing it. Never again! Was the battle cry. But there werent any such enemies of Jews in the USA. If there actually had been Protestant tribal enemies in the USA, Meyer Kahane and his Jewish Defense League would have provoked them into a bloodletting. Why did Meyer Kahane behave the way he did? Because he heard the same thing as everyone else - all the Jews, that is. He heard about enemies of the jews in the heartland.
It is a fact that in many parts of the Jewish community there is a folk tradition of beware the Christians. This tradition stems from the history of many Jewish communities in eastern Europe being subject of pogroms after Easter services.
Its funny that Jews vote for a party that has more in common with the NAZI Party and blacks vote for the party that invesnted the KKK, Jim Crowe laws and segragation. Thats why I just don’t think they think!
I don’t know how Meir Kahane gets dragged into this. He despised the lemming like democrat loyalty of the Jewish community. He did not regard all American Christians as the enemies of the Jews. He feared that there was plenty of untapped anti-Semitism, which without vigilance, could blossom into a serious danger to the Jews of America. I remember his pointing out a bumper sticker which appeared at the time of the 1973 oil crisis: Burn Jews, Not Oil. One has only to go to a few of the hate sites like Vanguard or even look around at what the left is saying these days to know that anti-Semitism is alive and real in America.
I knew Kahane and I can tell you his fight was only to get Jews to defend themselves against anti-Semites. The slogan of the Jewish Defense League tells the whole story: in the post-holocaust world he said “Never Again” will Jews sit quietly buy and allow anti-Semites to beat and kill Jews without consequence.
