A friend of mine from the GOE did some research, and it appears that almost ALL the questioners at last nights debate were plants!!
Lat’s be honest she probably figured that she would upset a particular voting block if she chose one over the other. Can’t even make, what to me is, a very simple choice...DIAMONDS any day!

No not everyone does this. Do you have proof that people have asked planted questions.
I asked President Bush a question when he was down 15 pts last election. It was his first Q&A before the real season began and nobody approached me or noticed anyone else being approached by the campaign. I was doing phonecalls at the time so I would be a great plant.
I seriously doubt it happens on other campaigns. If you have absolute proof fine, lets hear it.

Oh, that was such a LAME way to end the pitiful debate of the Demagogues...... I didn’t watch the debate, I can’t stand to watch these charlatans..... but CNN was obviously eager to give Shrillery a nice fun “humanizing” question at the very end to leave a nice, warm, lasting impression on the viewer. CNN staff might as well be the campaign staff of the Hildebeast!!
Exactly my point. What woman wouldn’t pick diamonds? What do diamonds represent to a woman?
Not only couldn’t she make the most obvious choice for any woman, she showed how greedy she is. It’s all about her. She actually blew that question completely.

I believe it was in the 2004 election, some network was "testing" its graphics for presentation of results. The "test" accidentally got displayed on TV before the voting began. All but a couple of the results for senators, congressmen, etc. were not only the correct winners, but also had the percentages to within 1% or so. It was completely creepy.
Does anyone remember what came of that?

Maria Luisa, the UNLV student who asked Hillary Clinton whether she preferred “diamonds or pearls” at last night’s debate wrote on her MySpace page this morning that CNN forced her to ask the frilly question instead of a pre-approved query about the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste repository.
“Every single question asked during the debate by the audience had to be approved by CNN,” Luisa writes. “I was asked to submit questions including “lighthearted/fun” questions. I submitted more than five questions on issues important to me. I did a policy memo on Yucca Mountain a year ago and was the finalist for the Truman Scholarship. For sure, I thought I would get to ask the Yucca question that was APPROVED by CNN days in advance.”
Now, Luisa is getting “swamped” with critical e-mails.

I wish that girl had added one word to the end of that jewelry question. I think at least Hillary’s facial expression would have been different.

Hillary couldn't even answer a simple vanity question as this with certitude. Her campaign will probably issue a correction based on focus group results as to which gem she prefers.

No, but the questions she gets are every bit as ridiculous as that one.
But as an illegal, and perhaps later as a somewhat more properly documented alien, taxpayer dollars put her through a series of indoctrination processes designed to produce compliant leftists.
Now she comes, through political connections that have been made for her along the way, to be asked to participate in this debate, and is asked to prepare a set of questions covering certain topics, one of which she will get to ask of the candidates.
Her substantive questions were rejected by her handlers, perhaps as overly critical of the very establishment in which she has endeavored to become a part, and she is allowed only to ask the token puff question.
From this we can hope she comes away learning a valuable lesson about the the extent to which the Democratic party truly wishes to empower citizens to take part in the important policy decisions of the day. That is, everyone will have their place, determined by authority, take it or leave it.
Unrelated comment, or rather a question: How does one receive a 4.6 GPA?
The main point that I want to make is this. When elected officials speak to groups of people, those groups of people are generally checked out--That is why many meet and greets and speeches have tickets. You might not have been able to ask the president a question if you weren’t a republican. Maybe you could have. Every camp is different, but every staff wants their candidate to look their best, and bad questions and even worse answers are a fast way to stall (or end) any campaign. You try to avoid that at all costs. Just look at some of the biggest campaign screw ups- a lot of them were caused by a question the candidate could not or would not answer.
