When you have a job, free education, free medical care and all the other freebies we give them, that's a better life by any standard. It's far better to live in Escondido than TJ. Not every illegal lives in squalor in the US. You're dealing in gross generalizations.

So here's the question, if they don't have a better life here, why are they here? If their life was better there, they'd stay here. That's basic human nature.

Yes, to improve my family's life

Wow

Well, OK.

Not me. I could have run away many times in my life, I kept my family with me and worked on solutions where I was. It worked for me. I wouldn't have left my family for any reason. I don't think it would have improved my kids lives to be without a father

These people are not improving their lives by breaking up their families.

I always am dismayed when an illegal invading criminal is deported and says, "What about my children? They will be without their mother". Well, if they had a concept of family, they would take their kids with them back to their own country and grow corn for fuel and make a fortune! Plus not run out of tortillas!

And I do not to give things away and I will continue to complain to the powers that want to, and to those that are taking advantage of the situation.

Let's work together to stop the carnage, OK?

I'm strongly opposed to illegal immigration. I'm mostly an e-mail and letter writer. If you don't believe me, read my posts on the Cal budget threads this week.

I never said I would leave my family. Perhaps I should post it again for the third time.

“if they don’t have a better life here, why are they here?”

They are here because they can get freebies and handouts Americans cant get...

They can commit crimes and get off scot free where Americans would rot in prison...

They can go to “sanctuary” cities, counties, and states and know that the police are going to cover up for them even when they commit child rape, DUI murders, other murders, and mayhem..while getting freebies and rioting in our streets unchallenged...

In short they are here because they are lazy bums...

now and again their might be a handful who actually do work but the freebies they cheat to get are much more than the pay they bring home..

If you stop insisting on mixing the illegal aliens in with REAL immigrants who are here for the reasons you state and who love and appreciate the US, you might just understand a little...

I never mixed any such groups. Your first line contradicts what you say and reinforces my opinion. Either their life is better here or not. Make up your mind.

I'm not responsible for our open borders. I'm not responsible for crimes committed by illegals.

You want it both ways. Either illegals are taking a lot of jobs or they're lazy bums. How many contradictions can you post on one thread.

And yes, if I was in Mexico, I'd bring my family here one way or the other. As long as we don't stop it, why wouldn't I?

Your lack of control when it comes to committing crimes is not mine...

Gheeeze lady, don’t patronize me.

You said more than once that you WOULD DO WHAT THE ILLEGAL CRIMINAL INVADERS DO, which in MANY cases is leaving their families behind.

You have been saying both things, so I am just commenting on what you say.

Oh and I get that you are against illegal immigration. I'm not questioning that. I just don't agree with some of your suppositions.

Just commenting on the jist and words of your posts.

Well we have it down to one issue. I’m a criminal. Here’s another flash, officer. If my children and I were starving, I would steal bread.

No, when you come here illegally, and so-called starving, dont start having 6 children you cant feed...

You’re making up scenarios about what I would do and what I’d support. Apparently, you’ve run out of gas and logic.

Not trying to be patronizing. I would not leave my family, without certainty they could join me soon.

No, you said you would break into my country illegally and steal...

If you abandoned your children back in Mexico that loaf of bread is going to be stale by the time the kiddiepoos get it by Western Union...

better run on down through the border and deliver it yourself and take over your own country while you are there

Adios...

Please show me where taking something that is given to you is stealing. Do you know the definition of free medical care and free education?

If you don't want them to have it, tell your president to stop the madness. Stop blaming me I voted against that crap when we had a chance in Cal.

"Better", it's a cold day below when I listen to you for what I'd better do.

Abandon my children? I'm sorry, but I just realized you're not really paying attention.

This is not a new problem...but if we band together instead of quarrelling over nitpicky things, we could turn the tide...We have to, or go under...economically and as a nation...

Problem is, TN, that you're on the wrong side...if you REALLY think our current economy...the biggest boom in the history of the USA...would increase WITHOUT the current illegal immigrants' contribution toward it.

Is deportation an option...of course, every time and anywhere an illegal alien is identified

It's not a simplistic issue like that.

I would like to view a couple of counties and/or states...or a sanctuary city who've decided to do a 180 on the illegal immigrants. Use them as 'ant farms' and you'll see without exception that their economies have plummeted and the local housing market's value has deteriorated.

Should illegal aliens only be deported if they commit “further” crimes?...would a judge let you off the 1st time you robbed a bank? Broke into someone’s house?

Need some moral equivalence, IMO. The punishment should fit the crime. Deporting somebody sneaking into our country and starting a new life, working, paying taxes...is cutting off your right arm to stop the pain from a broken fingernail.

Are the American taxpayers responsible to feed, clothe, support the 30,000,000 illegal aliens in our country? Why should we be? We dont give freebies to REAL immigrants...

I should read you the Miranda Rights. You're getting onto thin ice, TN. Straighten up and fly right. Words have meaning. Whether the status is illegal...or legal...THEY ARE BOTH IMMIGRANTS. They're not fake. They're human flesh and blood with families and dreams...just like you may still possess.

Don't judge all 30 million of them together.

Other freebies? No...College? No....etc etc etc...

Educating the children of illegal immigrants is a wise investment.

These kids are just as American as yours. They aren't going anywhere.

Everyone acknowledges that immigrants utilize social services. But by educating the children you are guaranteeing that the bleeding stops in a generation.

They are our future soldiers put in harm's way, possibly dying for us.

Again, don't think they're all like those that flew Mexican flags during protests as they did...long ago.

Cheers!
