Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) (R), speaks while Joint Economic Committee Chairman Charles Schumer (D-NY) listens during a news conference to release a new report "exposing the hidden costs of the war on Iraq," in the U.S. Capitol in Washington November 13, 2007. A new study by congressional Democrats says "hidden costs" have driven the price of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to about $1.5 trillion, The Washington Post reported on Tuesday. The usual suspects - completely useless RINOs, every single damn one of them.
This really is rich, coming as it does from this loser of a Congress peopled by the stupidest, most inept, do-nothing buffoons ever seated in the House and Senate. Pot, meet kettle.
What to do? The anti-war folks apparently have sufficient influence to get these RINOs to vote as they want them to.

HA! Take THAT Dingy. And take a hint. This is the n-th time the Rats have tried to pull this off, and NOTHING has changed! Give it up already. I’m reminded of the scenario of the little kid who touches the hot stove, gets a burn, and goes back and touches it again. THey don’t learn. The only good thing coming from this is the fact that they are making major fools of themselves and pushing their approval ratings into single digits.
make sure they don’t grow old and grey in office for starters.. support and work to get conservatives elected when possible.. I can’t believe some states’ electorates are that messed up in the head, but then again.. look at the genepool.. rapidly losing its viability as global warming rages. ;-)
Interesting. I’ve often pointed out that good RINOs obey the leadership, and vote with the party when the leaders tell them their vote is needed on critical bills.
Otherwise, the leaders let them vote as they like, to please their liberal constituents and get re-elected. Usually Collins and Snowe are good RINOs, about as good as you could get in Maine, and they come through in the clinch, unlike someone like Lincoln Chaffee, who defied the leadership and scuttled several important bills by one vote.
I’m wondering what the story was here. I know that Mainiacs seem to be very anti-war at the moment, for whatever reason. Did the leaders let them vote this way, because it doesn’t matter?
If you do the numbers, the Dems won, 53-45. If all four Republicans had voted the other way, it would have been 49-49.
Hmm. Maybe Hagel refused to play along no matter what, so they told Snowe and Collins, OK, you’d might as well please your constituents on this one, and the President will veto it.
Or maybe one of the missing two would have shown up to vote if it was a tie?
Who knows. Still, it’s certainly very annoying that Americans support this kind of behavior from their representatives, and that Republicans won’t line up with the party.
The Pentagon confirms the military will not run out of money until mid February, after which all Army bases would cease operations
As the Commander In Chief I would order an immediate audit of the funds needed for current operations, and realizing we would in fact be running out of money this month, would start the immediate lay off of personnel and closing of military bases, making sure to Address the American public as to why this action is being taken, I wish the current holder of that office would play hardball, still trying to get along.
Sigh. Anyone paying attention remembers that it was weak Republicans defeated by conservative-sounding Democrats who put the Democratic Party in power in 2006.
I am sure that osama bin laden will be happy that his favored party is trying to do something about the war.
Four who need to go! ! ! ! !
I wonder how many of these voters used to be Democrats?
Where can I find the list of Senators and Representatives that voted to give the President authorization to go to war?
Where can I find the list of Congress critters who voted for said Resolution?
The merging of those two lists will reveal some hypocrites, some patriots, and some patsies.
The Executive branch prosecutes wars, not the Legislative branch. And we are at war.
Imho, some in the House, and Senate should be prosecuted for treason. I find trouble in saying those words, but there is much evidence that the Justice department ignores. Not to mention the NYT...
End rant.

Pretty simple. Support who ever runs against them.
Be they R or D. ( As a Conservative voice).
Do Not give money to the RNC, tell them why.
Call the Senator’s Office. Tell them what your options were.
Options sucked.
You hope they Lose no matter what.
They’ll never believe you, til somebody’s out of a job.
I’d like to see Smith and Hagel take a wide stance on this issue.
