80 percent sounds like a big number.
If one Troop was AWOL last year, and two Troops went AWOL this year than that would be a 100 percent increase.
The percent BS has been used to manipulate opinions endlessly.
Usually it involves taxes.

80 percent sounds like a big number. If one Troop was AWOL last year, and two Troops went AWOL this year than that would be a 100 percent increase.If the numbers now are 9 in 1000, the the 80% increase means that they were 5 in 1000 before.

For the last few days all I've heard on MSM radio news reports are elevated suicide reports for returning vets and today's news of desertions......and today the Congress put forth a bill to defund the war effort.
The statistically questionable news is foreplay for the real act.
