BOSTON - Sen. John Kerry, whose 2004 presidential campaign was torpedoed by critics of his Vietnam War record, said Friday he has personally accepted a Texas oilman's offer to pay $1 million to anyone who can disprove even a single charge of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.
In a letter to T. Boone Pickens, the Massachusetts Democrat wrote: "While I am prepared to show they lied on allegation after allegation, you have generously offered to pay one million dollars for just one thing that can be proven false. I am prepared to prove the lie beyond any reasonable doubt."
Kerry, a Navy veteran and former prosecutor, said he was willing to present his case directly to Pickens, who provided $3 million to bankroll the group during Kerry's race against President Bush.

OJ said he would spend the rest of his life hunting down his wife’s killer too.
JF'nK is quite a piece of work.
Hanoi John is going to release his records?
Kerry reminds me of one of those Japanese guys they used to find out in the Pacific, 40 years after the war ended.
JF’nK also has a secret plan to win the Viet Nam war if only Nixon would ask.
Kerry is an idiot. He has become irrelevant and a laughing stock. Is he willing to spend his wife’s million to get a little publicity?
Appears so...
What did they disprove? Kerry lied on the Senate floor about being in Cambodia and even said Nixon was president on Christmas Eve 1968. Nixon wasn’t sworn into office until 30 days later.
He flimflammed a Washington Post reporter into writing about his Cambodian fairytale:
John Kerry: Hunter, Dreamer, Realist
Complexity Infuses Senator’s Ambition

. . .It’s been a hard rap to overcome in part because Kerry is reserved. He inherited it from his mother, along with her devotion to public service. “She taught us you stiff-upper-lip it,” said his sister, Diana Kerry. “John is a man of the people. Of the little people, actually. He needs to project who he really is by simplifying.”
And who is he, really?
A close associate hints: There’s a secret compartment in Kerry’s briefcase. He carries the black attache everywhere. Asked about it on several occasions, Kerry brushed it aside. Finally, trapped in an interview, he exhaled and clicked open his case.
“Who told you?” he demanded as he reached inside. “My friends don’t know about this.”
The hat was a little mildewy. The green camouflage was fading, the seams fraying.
“My good luck hat,” Kerry said, happy to see it. “Given to me by a CIA guy as we went in for a special mission in Cambodia.”
Kerry put on the hat, pulling the brim over his forehead. His blue button-down shirt and tie clashed with the camouflage. He pointed his finger and raised his thumb, creating an imaginary gun. He looked silly, yet suddenly his campaign message was clear: Citizen-soldier. Linking patriotism to public service. It wasn’t complex after all; it was Kerry.
He smiled and aimed his finger: “Pow.”

He has had more than 3 years. So when is he going to reveal his “evidence?”
The only good thing that would have come from seeing him elected president in 2004 would have been seeing him struggling to stave off a landslide defeat in 2008.
Note that whenever this claim is made, it's not followed up by any specifics.
He has hired O.J. to search for the real killer.
That was absolutely the funniest Kerry story I’ve ever read.
Kerry is up for reelection in 2008. One possible Rep opponent, Jeff Beatty, former Delta Force officer and nationally recognized global security expert for Fox News and CNN, served in the military, so Kerry can’t use his war hero trump card as he has done his entire political career. There is talk of drafting Curt Schilling to run against him.
April 2007—”A new 7News-Suffolk poll says that 56 percent of Massachusetts registered voters want to give someone else a shot at Kerry’s Senate seat. Only 37 percent say he should run again. This is clearly bad news for Kerry, and, according the Boston Herald’s Wayne Woodlief, “very good news for any well-heeled Republican who might try a run against Long Jawn. Or even for somebody who isnt rich but is [...] ‘an aggressive, strong politician’ who could see the national GOP open its coffers if Kerrys numbers stay that low. Especially with control of the Senate at stake.”
Absurd, how can one disprove absolute fact.
Hey, Kerry has irrefutable evidence. He still has the hat the CIA agent gave him.
It was the only one of its kind in existence and there is Kerry’s own word that the hat was in Cambodia. I don’t see how any reasonable person could dispute that.
The Swifties have totally gotten under Kerry’s skin.
Oh, and John I forgot to ask, did Teresa quit beating you?
