Not yet. Did you notice Yon said he hasn't seen any fighting in months? Neither have any of us in central Baghdad. It's amazing.

NO fighting in MONTHS? Never heard THAT back here in America.
One thing I did hear through the grapevine was that a local boy,who is in Iraq as a doctor, said there has been a sharp drop in wounded and injured coming in to his field hospital.

Neither have any of us in central Baghdad. It's amazing. My whole extended family has been praying like crazy that this war would end successfully with Iraq free and pacified. My niece's husband just deployed in September, and so the war has an even more intense interest. He is complaining that he can't find any action. We are just thankful.

Aloha Allegra!
It's wonderful that the Chaldeans and Assyrians have their church again and it's amazing that the streets are quiet. Let's hope Muqti stays away.
But tell your Iraqi associates to pressure their leaders to fess up some dough from their national industries to support the efforts at home. Today the US Congress pulled a VN stunt defunding our efforts in Iraq.
Tell them "Don't give the Democrats the satisfaction".
