Funny, I did debate in HS, then was a debate coach, and we always found ways to introduce NEW arguments and new points precisely to throw the other teams off stride.

That’s because you and your opponents actually DEBATED. These media events are not debates...they are just more opportunities to espouse the liberal socialist moonbat agenda. They don’t DEBATE; they RECITE.

OK, so this really isn’t like high school debate. In fact, it really isn’t debate at all. It’s a show. And all of the “debaters” practice and put together lines (or their writers put together lines) they’re going to throw in somewhere, even if it’s completely off topic. Most of them set up complete mock debates that include nastier questions and accusations than they actually get.

I NEVER watch the “debates” on either side. It’s a complete waste of time, IMO.
