Ordinary flu kills 36,000 people a year in the US, so I know what you’re saying.

I just posted it so folks would be aware.

Next thing, we’ll have a cold hysteria just like the MRSA hysteria.

This isn’t a flu virus. This is a mutated adenovirus. Adenoviruses cause conjunctivitis (pink eye) and upper respiratory infections, and have been commonly associated with infections of military personnel who share barracks etc. Of interest is that the adenovirus has been used recurrently as a gene therapy vector, hijacking its ability to get into cells to deliver new genetic material to those cells.
