Blitzer can’t finesse this. Either he gives her as tough a time as the others or else be considered a gelding.

In the spirit of open and honest debate, don’t ask any of the following....

“don’t adopt GOP framing”

this is straight out of their George Lakoff (rhymes with) bible.

GL tells his secular socialist minions to never argue within your opponent’s “frame” (reality), but always “reframe” the issue in a favorable manner before proceding.

Maybe Media Matters should just write the questions themselves and fax them to Wolf. It would be simpler.

Wolf just received his ceremonial Golden Keepads, a nice momento of his service to the Clintons.

You catch more flies with honey than threatening to whack them and dump them in a park.

“9)Don’t compare the “liberal woman” Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) to French Socialist Party presidential candidate Ségolène Royal, or suggest that the election of “conservative male” Nicolas Sarkozy as president of France will in any way benefit former New York City Mayor Rudy Giualini’s (R) bid for the U.S. presidency.”

Gee, I wonder what this paragraph would have said had Royal won.

IIRC, there were all sorts of favourable comparisons being made by leftist commentators, when they thought that Royal would win.

Wolf: “Good evening to all the candidates and audience, before we start our questions to the candidates, we have decided to change the format somewhat tonight to have a more fair and balanced debate. Our last debate was particularly unfair to Mrs. Clinton when she gave what was perceived as conflicting statements on an issue, we feel she has the right to debate herself and will be allowed...

Sen. Dodd: Wait just a minute, Wolf, all of us up here have all taken both sides of all issues, are we going to have the same consideration as Mrs. Clinton?

Wolf: First of all, Sen. Dodd, this doesn’t apply to you or any of the other candidates because taking both sides of an issue is only going to apply when it’s done in two minutes or less.

Obama: “Well, in that case, I should be able to have time to debate myself because I’ve also taken...”

Wolf: “Excuse me, Senator Obama, but your conflicting statements was timed and it was four and half minutes, you are excluded from consideration of debating yourself. By the way, one other change we have initiated is, there will be no ‘piling on’ by male candidates to female members which, it appears, has already started, this will not be tolerated after this point.”

Sen. Edwards: “Wolf, as you know, I’m known nationwide as the Breck Girl, will I have the same right as Mrs. Clinton as to the ‘piling on’ issue?

Wolf: “I think we all know about your rather feminine attributes, Senator Edwards, and we wouldn’t be acting fair if you weren’t allowed...”

Senator Edwards: YES...(pumping fist”

Congressman Kucinich: “I’m gay”

Sen. Biden: “Me too”

Sen. Obama: “I want to be”

Sen. Dodd: “I’m leaning that way”

Wolf: “This is insane, are there ANY of you who qualify as men up there?

Sen. Clinton: (raises hand)

Wolf: “I want to apologize to Media Matters, I tried but I’m out of here. Candidates...debate yourselfs”
