Besides, I'm trying to remember an anti-war "mainstream" movie that was made while we were in the middle of Vietnam. Seems to me those type movies came AFTER we left.

M*A*S*H, Johnny Got His Gun, etc., were made as anti-Vietnam movies despite their respective stories taking place in Korea and WWI.
They're just more overt about it now.
