The E8 pattern (left), Garrett Lisi surfing (middle) and out of the water (right)
Garrett Lisi, 39, has a doctorate but no university affiliation and spends most of the year surfing in Hawaii, where he has also been a hiking guide and bridge builder (when he slept in a jungle yurt).
In winter, he heads to the mountains near Lake Tahoe, Nevada, where he snowboards. "Being poor sucks," Lisi says. "It's hard to figure out the secrets of the universe when you're trying to figure out where you and your girlfriend are going to sleep next month."

He’ll be banging on my door when he finds out I cubed the orb using a french fry cutter.
No that isnt me
“I thought: ‘Holy crap, that’s it!’”
LOL! Very creative.
Excellent! :>
So, who came up with that model and built it.
L0L!
The "Theory of Everything" is the long-sought theory of how everything works together, not why it was created.
If it’s simple, then why do they not explain it?
That is hysterical.
From the Pere Ubu Song "thats the story of my life":
"later, messing around in the yard(I was 9)....I discovered the secret of Anti...Gravity... (chuckle) It's such a simple trick! I hope I can remember.."
There is a cool one at the link that you can play with
Just short of halfway there...
“This is BS. You don’t find the answer to the universe in some obscure mathematical pastime.”
Huh? That is exactly where Einstein found an awful lot of it. Serously, all of physics reduces to mathematics. Or was that /sarc?
Be understanding, lot’s of FEAR associated with that.
OK, will try. Could say something about fear = xxxxxxxxx, but won’t.
Incidentally, I play with math in my spare time, too. Most recently trying to solve the (likely) NP complete factoring problem. Thought I’d come up with a new solution, but it was equivalent to existing eliptical factoring techniques. Still not bad for just playing around. Currently working on an approach based on a new view of mathematics involving infinite set theory. Most likely will never result in anything, but it is fun if you’re into that kind of thing.
