If you think about it, you’ll see this over and over again from the left.

Conservative thinkers are process/rules oriented. As long as everyone observes the rules, the outcome is inherently fair, because the winner(s) just played the game better.

Liberal “thinkers” are outcome oriented. The winner(s) must be X, or more importantly, not Y - so we need to adjust the rules to make this happen (affirmative action, electoral college, progressive taxation).

Well, conservatives have to be concerned about outcomes as well. What if the rules bring a tyrant into power? The right of revolution is part of the true liberal tradition. But the purpose of the revolution might be to preserve liberty, not to accumulate power into the hands of a self-appointed ruling class.
