“Every vote most count!” over and over again.

The best counter to that is to ask them to explain the memo, written by the Dems, on how to throw out the military absentee ballots.

They just do not have an answer for that one.

The Bush hater are indeed irrational.

But let those of us who despise Hillary (and I am one) be careful that we don’t emulate them and lose sight of the forest for the trees.

Judge Richard Posner's sensible observation, much less themselves sensibly observe, that while indeed it was strange to have the U.S. Supreme Court decide a presidential election, it would have been even stranger for the election to have been decided by the Florida Supreme Court.

Right, since the Constitiution gives the right to the state of Florida and by implication that would be the Florida legislature. If the popular vote was not determinative, then the legislature had the right to chose between the candidates.

If you think about it, you’ll see this over and over again from the left.

Conservative thinkers are process/rules oriented. As long as everyone observes the rules, the outcome is inherently fair, because the winner(s) just played the game better.

Liberal “thinkers” are outcome oriented. The winner(s) must be X, or more importantly, not Y - so we need to adjust the rules to make this happen (affirmative action, electoral college, progressive taxation).

Well, conservatives have to be concerned about outcomes as well. What if the rules bring a tyrant into power? The right of revolution is part of the true liberal tradition. But the purpose of the revolution might be to preserve liberty, not to accumulate power into the hands of a self-appointed ruling class.

When the left says, “It’s Bush’s fault”, and the George Bush hatred shows up Republicans say, “They need more than just ‘hate Bush’ to win.

When the right says, “Anyone but Hillary” and the Hillary Clinton hatred shows up isn’t that the same thing?

Why is it that conservative Republicans don’t recognize the same type of activity in their own ranks that they deride in the ranks of the other party?

Why do so many on the left hate George Bush?
”He stole the 2000 Presidential election and then stole the 2004 Presidential election too.”
”He got us into a war that we shouldn’t have been in.”
”All he cares about are his buddies in the oil business.”
”He’s stupid”
”His enviromental policy sucks.”
”He vacations alot, which means he is lazy.”
”He is openly Christian and ties his religion too much to his politics.”
”DMCA and the Patriot Act were responsible for the loss of personal freedoms resulting in corporate America and the federal government persecuting the American people unjustly.

Let’s take a look at these accusations

”He stole the 2000 Presidential election and then stole the 2004 Presidential election too.”
Just how did George Bush “steal” the election? Was there ballot box stuffing?
Sure, it was a close race but it had to end sometime. We couldn’t keep doing recounts forever like the Democrats wanted to do.
Keep in mind that in 2000 this was before George Bush was President. So how did he “steal” the election?

”He got us into a war that we shouldn’t have been in.”
Sometimes you are not given a choice whether you want to be in a war or not.
We, the USA, were not given that choice.
The events of September 11, 2001 brought us into a war.
Other intelligence, correct or incorrect, took us to Afghanistan and Iraq.
The President is privy to intelligence not seen by the general public, or even by a majority of elected officials. This is as it should be.
Decisions made according to that intelligence may not seem like the best decisions when seen from the outside but decisions, hard decisions, sometimes have to be made.
The Congress voted with President Bush to go into Afghanistan and Iraq so the intelligence must have been compelling, at least at the time.

”All he cares about are his buddies in the oil business.”
I haven’t seen President Bush DO anything for his buddies in the oil business.
Are the oil companies making a profit? I hope so as that’s the reason they’re in business to begin with. Is that profit huge? Not comparably. 10% isn’t a huge return on investment in any business. Are they making more money? Sure.
With more people driving, more gasoline being sold, more money coming in, of course they make more money.
At least to my way of thinking the speculators are making the obscene profits and President Bush isn’t reputed to be friends with any of them.

”He’s stupid”
One sentence.
He graduated from Yale.
Do you graduate from Yale, with any grade point average, and be stupid?
He was stupid enough to be elected Governor of Texas and President of the United States.
Doesn’t really sound very stupid to me.

”His enviromental policy sucks.”

Here is President Bush’s philosophy on the environment.
The focus is on results – making our air, water, and land cleaner.
We need to employ the best science and data to inform our decision-making.
Our policies should encourage innovation and the development of new, cleaner technologies.
We should continue to build on America’s ethic of stewardship and personal responsibility through education and volunteer opportunities, and in our daily lives.
Opportunities for environmental improvements are not limited to Federal Government actions
States, tribes, local communities, and individuals must be included.
Doesn’t sound like that bad a policy to me.
The implementation of that policy may have been flawed but considering that Democratic appointments maintained their positions in the various agencies involved, that may put the blame on Democrats, not the President.

”He vacations a lot, which means he is lazy.”
The President is on call 24X7X365 no matter where he is.
The communications equipment he has to remain in touch is unsurpassed. There is no such thing as a ‘vacation’ for a sitting President.

”He is openly Christian and ties his religion too much to his politics.”
And this is a BAD thing. If more people lived by Christian ideals this world would be a MUCH better place to live in.
Of course his religion plays into his politics. Anyone that is serious about their religion will have the same thing happen. If you are a truly religious person, no matter the religion, it will affect your world view.

”DMCA and the Patriot Act were responsible for the loss of personal freedoms resulting in corporate America and the federal government persecuting the American people unjustly.
The DMCA? Responsible for loss of personal freedom? Persecution of the American people unjustly?
Puuuuleeeeze. Let’s have some intelligence, of the personal kind, here.
While the DMCA may have been an ill advised move it was not President Bush that pushed this through the Congress. It may have been some corporations that supported it but President Bush wasn’t the one that made it so.
Some parts of the Patriot Act, in my opinion, were ill conceived, however, once again, President Bush did not make this law all by himself.
Once law, the President used all means at his disposal to combat terror attacks on this nation.
I applaud him for this.

Now let’s take a look at why people hate Hillary Clinton.

Hillary Clinton is Someone that wants:
More of your money (We will take things from you for the good of all)
All of your guns
To tell you how to raise your kids (It takes a village)
To nationalize helthcare (if we think this is such a great idea, why do we complain about medicare?)
aquiring the FBI files of 900 republicans
The NY house is the first time a taxpayer hasn't paid the Clinton's rent.

So, let’s take a look at these

Hillary Clinton is Someone that wants: More of your money (We will take things from you for the good of all)
This is a direct quote from Hillary during a speech in June of 2004.
Why would I hate someone that wants to take things from me and give them to someone else for no good reason other than I have something and someone else doesn’t?

Hillary Clinton is Someone that wants: All of your guns
Hillary STRONGLY opposes an absolute right to gun ownership.
This means she believes: More guns mean more killing. (This is not true. According to statistics available to anyone, when guns increase for law abiding citizens, gun crime goes down.)Limit availability of guns by whatever means are effective. (I bold this because this is truly what Hillary wants.) The 2nd amendment does not mean an unlimited right to any and all firearms. (Opinions vary but wording doesn’t.)

Hillary Clinton is Someone that wants: To tell you how to raise your kids (It takes a village)
It takes a village to raise a child. The village is Washington. You are the child. There, I've spared you from reading the worst book to come out of the Clinton administration since- let's be fair-the last one.
But Mrs Clinton really can't be stupid. Can she? She's been to college.
But it cannot be ruled out that the First Lady is authentically dim.
Says Mrs Clinton: "Less developed nations will be our best models for the home doctoring we will then need to master."

Hillary Clinton is Someone that wants: To nationalize helthcare (if we think this is such a great idea, why do we complain about medicare?)
Why does, almost, everyone in the world come to the United States for health care when they have “National Health Care” in their own countries?

Hillary Clinton is Someone that wants: to aquire the FBI files of MORE THAN 900 republicans.
Isn’t it amazing what winds up in the closet?

Hillary Clinton is Someone that wants: The taxpayers to pay their morgtage.

The NY house is the first time a taxpayer hasn't paid the Clinton's rent in a long loooong time.
Oops, my bad we are paying their rent. Seems they charge the Secret Service to rent an occupancy on the Clinton Estate that--and I'm sure this is a coincidence--is the exact amount of the payment on that estate...

Look closely at George Bush. He may not be any more than he seems, but I’ll take that over what I see when I look at Hillary Clinton any day.
