If you ask me, it’s Bush’s faith that creates the hatred. Telling a liberal ‘I love Jesus’ will do it everytime.
The name Jesus is a very powerful word.

I don't think it's his faith as much as they see it as code to the religious right.

Plus the fact that he only “smokes” cigars and does not cheat on his wife. Liberals love creepy disgusting men.

Telling a liberal I love Jesus will do it everytime. You are correct about the liberal aspect, but there are so many church goers who vote for the leftist candidates. The last time I voted for any (D), was during the jimmah carter era. Not for him, but for some of the local candidates. His pitiful record was enough to turn me into a straight (R) voter.
There was a pastor who once told us - at a non Church event - "I don't know how anyone can go to Church on Sunday and vote for a democrat the following Tuesday."

I have to agree it is do with his faith evil cannot co-exist with faith and I believe those that have BDS probably do not understand it.
They do not understand because they cannot have insight to what is behind it which is a spiritual war IMHO. They are looking through a veil which is only lifted when they accept Christ as their saviour.

Agree totally. Liberals, who are basically atheists, or who hate everything “Christian” cannot under any circumstances assign credit or good to anything Bush does or says. To do so would invalidate their entire world view.
So for them hatred of Bush is really a hatred of anything Christian. Once they say even just one thing good about Bush, in their minds that is the same as saying something good about Christians, then their house of cards collapses.
