Personally, I would not even attempt to engage with them. My one occassion of speaking with Rowans oldest sister was pretty much came about by accident, and I have made no contact since. I have little doubt that police may be watching their myspace pages and such, and I would be wary of too much direct interaction with them. Hate to see anyone getting dragged in by the cops for questioning simply because of some correspondence that was misunderstood or some cop getting the idea that someone is stalking someone.

BTW, I was checkin your profile out, and saw your friend the racoon. We got two of them that visit our house... they come right in the front door and eat our dogs food. Our silly lil dog just sniffs at them, and they ignore him for the most part. Amazing how brave the little suckers are, coming right in our living room, and chattering at us.. not the least bit afraid.
It looks like she (sister) opened this profile after Rowan died, it’s very basic except for info about Rowan. I wonder if she even is Rowan’s real sister? She did put a comment on Colleen’s page calling her mom, so I guess it must be true or wouldnt Colleen have deleted it?
Anyway, I can’t stop thinking that between the myspace posts and all the interviews, that these people are loving the attention this is bringing. I know everyone grieves differently, but to log onto Myspace a week or two after your daughter is murdered? To me, it’s like they are grieving the way I would if my pet died. If something were to happen to my son, I can’t imagine acting like she is. Put two and two together, between the fact that she left Rowan in the care of that monster, and now the way she is enjoying the limelight after her death, I don’t think that woman loved her child much. I hope they put her ass in jail as well, for child neglect resulting in death. Especially if it is proven that David has done this to the other daughters or to Rowan in the past.
ANOTHER thing I want to say, and I know it will sound cruel but it’s just how I feel: You (the family) have all these pictures and stories of poor Rowan, and how much you loved her, and how you will miss her, blah blah blah... Where were you when she needed you????? When she was showing up hours early to church, to school???? When people made a call to children’s services in regards to her health??? Where was all the attention then???? Nice to see you care so much, too bad you’re a little bit too late!
Ok, here I go again. Here is what Colleen said when they found the body of her child:
“I want to thank everyone for searching. It’s not the news we wanted.” says Colleen.
It’s not the news you wanted??? That’s something a cop would say about the case, not a mother who’s child was killed!
“I’m not going to get my kisses and hugs.” says Colleen.
All she keeps talking about is me me me me me. I would expect something more along the lines of:
“I can’t imagine the pain and terror my poor little girl went through.”
“If only I wouldn’t have left her with that worthless excuse for a human being.”
“Why did this have to happen to her?”
Those are the things that I would be saying, and I think that any grieving mother would be saying. Not that I would be doing interviews left and right, but in the event that I did, those are more the things I would be feeling.
Rowan, I am so sorry that you weren’t loved enough, protected enough. I’m so sorry that you were born into this family. It’s not fair at all. You didn’t ask to be part of this family, it could have been any us. It just had to happen to you, and I cant really explain why. Just know that you are more loved now than you have ever been.

Yes I read that too. I also read that that Collings was having sex with one of the daughters and she got mad cause he also slept with the Mother and her younger sister. This is beyond sick. I bet all Colleen’s kids have different daddies.

On the local paper front page today it said that on Monday Nov. 26 David Spears will appear in McDonald county court, but not what charge since thats the dumping county. Said that Chris Collings’ full charges are Statutory Rape, First Degree Sexual Intercourse with a person under 14 years of age, forcible rape, sexual intercourse by forcible compulsion and murder in the first degree. Didn’t mention complete charges against Spears. Mostly I think because Collings is from Barry County and Spears is Newton County. Will post more if I hear more.
Have you heard anything about kidnapping charges? If not, why not? Maybe LE doesn't belive the David's confession. He did say, allegedly, that little Rowan was not in the house when he came back to the house around 12ish? Just found it odd that there are no kidnapping charges against these 2 perverts. :( I say, stack on the charges.
As far as I am aware, kidnapping charges were filed against Collings, but not against Spears since he was her legal guardian. However, if her legal guardian was aware she was being taken, then even for Collings it is not kidnapping.
Given the circumstances, a kidnapping charge may be difficult to make.

This info turned out to be false. Sorry about that everybody. It seems the oldest daughter, Janice is posting to the above linked blog and is taking questions. I have to admire her courage to post there as it seems she is a hen in a den of wolves. She seems to be the only family member with any sense.
She told me that Colleen was raped twice and got pregnant both times, one being Rowan. Don’t know how true any of this is but it is clear that Colleen’s lifestyle put Rowan in danger, no doubt. All her children suffered cause of her lifestyle.
I am sad....

I have been on that thread as well, under the same name (solange82200), and I dont think that she is a hen in a den of wolves. Everyone has been very understanding of her, but myself and others, still stand by the fact that her mother is partly to blame for what happened.
I do agree that it’s brave of her, and I do understand it must not be easy hearing people like myself insulting her mother like that. But she hasnt really offered any info to convince me otherwise about Colleen. I think, based on some of her comments, that she feels her mother suffers from some psychological problems that may have contributed to her bad decisions. There may be some truth to that, but it still doesn’t change my mind about her (colleen).
