Hillary Responds to Accusations Her Campaign Planted Questions At Public Appearances

Sunday , November 11, 2007 By Major Garrett

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton responded to allegations Sunday that her presidential campaign had planted questions during public appearances.

At a media event in Waterloo, Iowa, Clinton responded to a reporter's question about two separate incidents, one that occurred this week at a biodiesel plant in Newton, and the other in April on a farm outside Fort Madison, both in Iowa.

"Well it was news to me" Clinton said. "And neither I nor my campaign approve of that. And it will certainly not be tolerated."

The reporter went on to ask if she knew of other incidents beyond those reported.

Clinton responded saying, "You know everything I know."

Clinton's presidential campaign came under fire Friday when FOX News first reported that a Grinnell College student was prompted to ask Clinton a question about climate change.

Come on, how ironic is that?

Doug, you’re a genius.

I’ll never listen to “Sing a Song” the same way, again!

Millions of young women need to see the message that Hillary is not the savior of women. She uses the issue as her vehicle for the acquisiton of power. A real feminist would not have excused her rapist husband and further damaged the victims behind the scenes. A real feminist would not have hired private investigators to intimidate women into silence. A real feminist would not have taken money from a trafficker of women and allowed him to be a guest in the White House on numerous occasions.

I agree.

A real "FEMINist" would be FEMININE--and would enjoy it.

"You people are really nuts. ... There's kids dying in the war, the price of oil right now -- there's better things in this world to be thinking about than ... who got a tip and who didn't get a tip."

-- Iowa diner waitress to national press after they questioned her about the size of Hillary Clinton's tip.

Has anyone commented on the yellow outfit - we all remember the “pink” presser where she came out dressed like a candy striper and said she didn’t know sh*t about sh*t. So what message does “all yellow” send? Bueller? Anyone?

Clinton responded saying, "You know everything I know."

Isn't that and admission that the first event happened?

Q: If she can’t run & monitor the actions of her own campaign, how can she run the country?

Hold on, when Bill's attack dog lawyers were ripping others' lives to shreds, he said "Hey, I can't control what those friends of mine do" and the press didn't ask any further troublsome questions! This is a strategy that is proven to work!

The dishonesty, incompetence, and hypocrisy of the PIAPS and her kind will be relevant to judging how she can handle the big issues like war and peace, terrorism, energy, health care, etc. It is perfectly reasonable and significant to assess whether she and her campaign staff do what they say they do, how they really treat the “little people” etc. You and the quoted waitress would be the first to assail any Republican who behaved as Shrillery behaves. Your double-standards and hypocrisy are laughable.

I wish all the Republicans would vote exactly the same as Mrs. Clinton on issues like the skyrocketing Bush budget deficit, health care policy, global warming, and women's rights. There is no double standard. Just Republicans playing their vicious political game of personal destruction against Mrs. Clinton while avoiding the substance of any of these issues.

The Iowa waitress knows better. What takes you so long to understand the Republicans' games?

Typical Clintonian response to ANY issue...deflect attention from your own misdeeds by casting aspersions on the motivations of the questioner and/or the conduct of others. Have you noticed that it doesn’t work as well as it used to? You folks had better find a new playbook...

Again you tell a lie about the economy. It must be a lie, because you have been confronted and debunked on your anti-Bush BDS BS economic claims so many times.

US budget deficit drops to 5-year low

Even the trade deficit is down, though perhaps you haven't lied about that recently. Trade Deficit Falls to 28-Month Low

health care policy

In 1994 Daniel Moynihan said that "[A]nyone who thinks [the Clinton health care plan] can work in the real world as presently written isn't living in it." If you trust Hillary to take care of your health care now, you aren't living in the real world either.

Women's rights

By this you must the "right" to rip a small child's limbs off in the womb. Truly charming of you.
