Mitt Romney has had a great week in California.
First, on Wednesday night, the Young Republican Federation of California's Board of Directors voted to endorse the Romney campaign - becoming the first grassroots group in the state to endorse Governor Romney.
To add to that, just minutes ago, the California Republican Assembly joined the YRFC by overwhelmingly voting to endorse the Romney campaign.
By a vote of 148 - 73, CRA took a big step in showing clearly that the conservative base of the Republican Party is coalescing around Governor Romney.
Primary elections are traditionally dominated by the bases of each Party - and within California, there aren't more representitive voices of the conservative base than YRFC and CRA.

Big win for Mitt this morning in California!
More sellouts to the Conservative movement again. But they’ve already “fixed” CA for Rudy. Dreadful liberal RINOs whichever way.
What do you know? California supports RINOs.
Ping!
Arniecrats...what do you expect?
WOO HOO!I can't wait for all the anti-Mitts to show up and go on and on about how they were all bought and paid for, or they are just too stupid, etc... The list is growing.
I don’t know what the hell the Mittwitts are cheering about, the state has ALREADY been fixed for Rudy.
I guess anyone who is for amendments against abortion and gay marriage is a conservative sell out
The California Republican Assembly is a conservative California Republican activist group. It is the oldest and largest grassroots volunteer organization chartered by the California Republican Party.
The CRA can date its origin to the 1930s and was an early supporter of Governor Earl Warren but also an early opponent of Chief Justice Earl Warren, whom it believed had moved left from his gubernatorial days to his time on the court and so was regarded as far too liberal to merit support by conservatives. The CRA was largely supportive of the efforts of Barry Goldwater's Presidential bid and helped him finalize his nomination at the 1964 Republican National Convention held in San Francisco. Later that year it helped the cause of George Murphy, a former movie actor and close friend of Ronald Reagan in being elected to the United States Senate, and then helped Reagan himself to be elected Governor of California in 1966.
The group claims to hold much of the responsibility for the "Reagan Revolution". Ronald Reagan often referred to CRA as the "Conscience of the Republican Party."
No, its more like another setback for the CRA, they have endorsed another nor-eastern liberal republican....
Save it. You think those of us who actually know what a liar and a fraud Precious Willard is buy his phony conversions, conveniently in time for running for President ? Gimme a break, man. You Mittwitts are denser than transparent aluminum.
Not with that endorsement, not anymore.
I love it all you little pipsqueak voices keeps sniping but it can not stop these continuing endorsements!:)
PRESS FORWARD MITT!

William J. Bratton, former NYC police commissioner under Mayor Giuliani endorsed Gov Spitzer's plan to license illegals.
EXCERPT LA Police Chief Bratton was NYC police commissioner from 1994-96, during the first term of Mayor Giuliani, but the two men famously feuded, with Giuliani resentful that Mr. Bratton a pioneer of the citys Compstat program was getting credit for the citys reduction in crime.
In March 2007, Giuliani began trying to mend fences with Bratton and met privately; afterward, Mr. Bratton said he enjoyed the tête-à-tête. In May 2007, the two men met in Los Angeles.
In a statement released October 2007 by Gov Spitzers office, Chief Bratton said: As former Commissioner of the New York City Police Department and now Chief of the Los Angeles Police Department (since 2002), I support efforts that have the potential to solve crimes and improve traffic safety. Thats why I backed legislation in California that would give undocumented immigrants the ability to get a drivers license once they have provided proof of their identification. It is my belief that by doing that you would reduce the number of hit and runs and increase the number of insured motorists on the road. We would also now have undocumented immigrants identifying information on record such as photographs and addresses which could prove helpful in the fight against crime and terrorism.

(Licensing illegals hit a roadblock when it was determined some 80% of Americans oppose the plan. Spitzer was forced to backoff when the plan contributed to a debate fumble by Hillary Clinton followed by dismal approval ratings).

RUDY: I'D TAP MY OLD FOE BRATTON
By DAVID K. LI, NY POST
August 13, 2007
EXCERPT GOP presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani floated an extraordinary olive branch to bitter rival William Bratton, hinting he'd consider his estranged former top cop for a high federal post.
In an interview in this week's New Yorker magazine, Giuliani was asked whom he'd tap for Homeland Security secretary if elected to the White House. He laughed and told the magazine whom he wouldn't tap. ".....you need a Bernie Kerik without the background problems that Bernie Kerik had," Giuliani said of his ethics-challenged former police commissioner and close friend.
The former mayor lavished praise on his first police commissioner, Bratton, the city's top cop from 1994-96..... Giuliani is largely blamed for forcing Bratton, now LA police chief, out of office in an ugly battle of egos. "But you sort of look back on some of the things and say that was an extraordinarily productive relationship," Giuliani told the magazine. Now that I look back on it, I really appreciate the (Bratton) relationship."
It's certain that Giuliani won't be tapping Kerik for any job in his potential Cabinet. Kerik, NY's top cop from 2000 to 2001 and a close friend of Giuliani's, was briefly nominated for Homeland Security's top post by President Bush. Kerik withdrew, claiming his employment of an illegal nanny would make his confirmation too difficult. It soon emerged that Kerik had a flood of ethics allegations that were much more serious.

BEST OF ENEMIES Giuliani and William Bratton at a press conference in 1996 announcing Bratton's resignation as police commissioner.
Still posting the same BS, aren’t ya...you have no shame...
Yup. Press forward, Precious Willard. Destroy the GOP nationally just like you did in Massachusetts. I hope you and your other RINO midgets form a circular firing squad.
I’m not a mittwitt...I just don’t think Fred is such a clear cut conservative anymore
