Ron Paul Caller
OCTOBER 10, 2007

GLENN BECK PROGRAM
BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

CALLER: You guys just love to joke about Ron Paul. First of all, he doesn’t try to promote that he’s the only antiwar candidate. That’s what the media likes to promote.

GLENN: Hang on. Is this what you called about where you’ve been holding all this time and you called about refuting the fact that we were just saying? What did you call about?

Results from our SPAM free Insider Presidential Poll...

CALLER: Well, I wanted to put up a challenge to you actually.

GLENN: Oh, okay.

CALLER: But I wanted to get on what you two were just speaking about.

GLENN: All right, go ahead. Go ahead. You do that and then you do your challenge.

CALLER: Okay. See, he has two challenges. The socialists that are antiwar don’t like Ron Paul. He promotes free market principles.

GLENN: I know.

CALLER: He wants to get rid of the public education system and introduce free markets.

GLENN: I’m in love with that.

CALLER: He doesn’t believe in socialized medicine.

GLENN: Right.

CALLER: He doesn’t want to get out of the war. He’s not antiwar. He’s against the Iraq war because it wasn’t declared. He voted to go into Afghanistan.

GLENN: Right.

CALLER: He understands the —

GLENN: Not really but I’ll give it to you.

CALLER: Not really?

GLENN: On Afghanistan not really.

CALLER: Okay. Well, maybe they recorded it wrong in congress.

GLENN: Oh, that happens all the time. No, no, he voted for it but what he really wanted was a police action. He was fine — he just wanted to go get the bad guys. He didn’t want to — he didn’t want to take out the Taliban. He just wanted to take out the bad guys. I mix the bad guys in with the Taliban but that’s just me, I’m sure. But anyway, so what’s your challenge, Jeff? What’s your challenge?

CALLER: He just jumped out of the tent and told me what he was thinking. I’ll just do to my challenge.

GLENN: He’s on the record.

CALLER: I was hoping you’d have Ron Paul on your show and there would be one stipulation. Because you guys just want to say that he promotes himself only as the antiwar candidate. Have him on your show and talk about free market principles, talk about the public —

GLENN: Here’s the deal, Jeff, here’s the deal. Here’s the deal. I’m not taking anymore Ron Paul calls, ever. You’re going to have to come up with something else and then try to get through the phone screener and I’ll hang up on you and I’ve got enough delay, I will delete all Ron Paul stuff from this program if, if I hear another person tell me, Jeff, that I should invite Ron Paul on this program. Ron Paul has been invited on this program. You guys are so duped by this guy, you don’t even know who you’re dealing with. Ron Paul — you should get him on the program, you should have him talk, you should let him speak, let him talk about these things. That’s fine. I’ve offered. I’ve offered. In fact, the first time I offered, he cancelled on us at the last minute. It was weird. And so I’m a little ticked off at Ron Paul’s credibility because something came up at the last moment and because I happen to work in the same building as Wolf Blitzer, I know who that little something was that came up. He decided to go onto Wolf Blitzer’s show and not mine because that was the only time that they could tape him for Wolf Blitzer. So integrity really kind of comes into question with Ron Paul. But, hey, we all have choices to make. That’s cool.

So we have invited him on. I’ve invited him for an hour, we’ve invited him for the radio program. By the way, all of the Republican candidates have been on the radio program, have they not? I believe all of the Republican candidates have been on except for Ron Paul and Fred Thompson and all of the candidates, if I’m not mistaken, have given us a tentative yes for the television show. We’re scheduling them now. Ron Paul won’t even take the phone calls. So I tell you what, I’m going to turn this back on you. You get Ron Paul to come on this program. You guys are activists. You go ahead and get Ron Paul to be on this program and then I’ll have him on the program. You have him call me instead of having you call me. Let him call me. You call him. How is that? Until that time, no more of the propaganda Ron Paul comments because I’m sick of them. Because you know what? I agree with libertarians more than not. I’m a libertarian at heart. But I’m tired of the libertarian bullcrap. How is it I’m getting a — I’m getting these calls from these countries — from all over the country today. I mean, I’m not taking them all on the air. I’m getting calls from places, the last caller in Detroit. I’m not even in Detroit. That’s weird. You just decided today. Doesn’t have anything to do with the fact that I ratted Ron Paul out last night on being mayor of crazy town. It wouldn’t have anything to do with that.

NO, not like that transcript from October 10, 2007. Like YESTERDAY'S transcript, the show that I mentioned.

If you want to discuss YESTERDAY's comments, try posting the transcript of YESTERDAY's show. You see, October 10, 2007, was not YESTERDAY.

I would encourage Ron Paul to appear on Glenn Beck and suspect that he will soon.
