Libertarians have always had their own constituency. Look at the consistent popularity of Ayn Rand’s work. It can’t just be a Democratic subterfuge campaign.

I’m not necessarily a Paul supporter, but I’m often surprised at the opposition to him on this site.

Aren’t the other GOP candidates jokers themselves?

I have only seen one campaign group alienate so many people so fast. That was Howard Deans internet techi group in 2004. I strongly suspect that it is largely the same group supporting RP. The same group that spammed last seasons American Idol votes to keep a non-singer on the show till the end, just for fun.

If Ron Paul would become a hawk on national defense, AND be against uncontrolled immigration over open borders THEN you would see more support on this site.
