Clinton Campaign Acused for the Second Time of Planting a Question at a Public Appearance
Saturday , November 10, 2007 By Major Garrett
SIOUX CITY, Iowa For the second time in as many days, Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign has had to deal with accusations of planting questions during public appearances.
In a telephone interview Saturday with Fox News, Geoffrey Mitchell, 32, said he was approached by Clinton campaign worker Chris Hayler to ask a question about how she was standing up to President Bush on the question on funding the Iraq war and a troop withdrawal timeline.
The encounter happened before an event hosted by Iowa State Sen. Gene Frais on a farm outside Fort Madison, Iowa.
Clinton's Iowa campaign confirmed to Fox News that one of its staff discussed questions with Mitchell before her April 2 event, but denied attempting to plant a pro-Clinton question.
Mo Elliethee, spokesman for Senator Clinton, told Fox that Clinton staffer Chris Hayler talked with Mitchell before the event because the two knew each other from previous Democratic activities.

The point is that the campaign tried to spin the recent plant as an aberration--certainly not their practice. In so doing, and by saying, "Won't happen again," they acknowledged it was not kosher, and contrary to the spirit of these town hall meetings. This belated revelation reveals that planting questions was SOP, not an aberration at all, and the only reason they won't be doing it again--if they can be believed--is because they were caught.
Piffle, this happened in April. The witch gets a pass from the lame-stream media, even though it shows a pattern of deception just like everything else she does.
"They had a previous relationship and were talking before the event and the topic of the senator's position on Iraq came up and Geoffrey said he had some questions," Elliethee said. "Chris suggested Geoffrey ask a question."
Mitchell, however, said that he and Hayler did not know each other personally before the event.
"I had no previous relationship with him," said Mitchell. "I knew his name and by name only as some who worked for Sen. Evan Bayh. But we didn't know each other and I had never met him before this event."
Interesting!
If they did, which I fully suspect they did, would they admit it?
This country can't survive four years of the Beast in charge...

Why does Hillary have to plant questions in the crowd or carry a scripted binder with her, didn’t Dan Rather say she was the smartest woman in the world?
LOL
As her husband was, she is focused on getting elected and not focused on running running the country for the people.
It's an agenda thing.
Blood in the water. Every candidate in the Dem party is going to try to catch her cheating again.
There's your mistake, buddy. You should have kept quiet about that until she gave you the nod, then you could have asked any question you wanted.
Of course, being a minister, perhaps you think that might not have been totally honest......
Um.........
Did her campaign just call a minister a LIAR?
Her problem is that see needs to have planted questions because she tells so many lies she is unable to answer direct questions without knowing what her last lie was.
TOO STUPID and TOO Devious and TOO Unable!!
Were I the treasonous questioner, I'd be gone lickity split, and never, bur never go near a public park...
We won’t do it again, and this time we REALLY mean it.
Very good. Two more unasked questions. If she were a Republican, WWRD (what would russert do)?
