Unfortunately, lacking some triggering event, things will just go on and on til one day, the few remaining sheep will look up to see that it is all over.
I pretty much agree, but I still hold out hope. I’m not sure exactly what that is based on though.
I moved to California the day after I graduated from college in 1976. I had found paradise!(came from Mass).
In 76, California was a clean, rather conservative state.
I noticed about 1987 that Los Angeles was becoming a slum....and quickly. I had my business in a Mid Wilshire
highrise. Up until 87, it was clean and full of professional people. In 1 year, it turned into a ghetto!Illegal immigrants swarmed into the area, and trashed it.
Garbage everywhere, graffiti, and crime. By 1988, I moved my office to an outer suburb. By 2006, I had seen many parts of Los Angeles trashed. I could no longer bear to watch my beloved California utterly destroyed by illegal invaders, so I left the state. If every FReeper could have witnessed what I did in California, they would realize we are under attack!
