Anti-war protests have returned to the Port of Olympia with the unloading of a military ship bearing Army gear from a Stryker Brigade that recently returned to nearby Fort Lewis from Iraq.
According to an initial news release Sunday from Olympia Port Militarization Resistance, the group at first did not plan to try to block cargo from being sent from the port to the Army post ...
Late Monday, however, after the arrival of 950-foot roll-on, roll-off cargo vessel, group leaders said a series of votes and discussions resulted in a change in strategy.
"As long as the war in Iraq is going on, it's all part of the revolving door," said Andrew Yankey... "They're just shipping it in so they can ship it back out,"...
The Brittin was used to haul the gear of the 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team), which recently completed a 15-month assignment in Iraq.

If those ‘things’ could be deported, the problem is no other nation would take them.
Have I met you guys? I haven’t been to a rally in awhile, but it would be great to hook up with you 2 one of these days. Could you FReepmail me with info when something like this comes up again? I’m in Graham. =)
Sure - We don’t get out all that much, it was a spur of the moment decision to get involved yesterday. But if we know something’s coming we’ll let you know!
Throw every last one of the unwashed bolshie troublemakers the hell out of the USA. Send them to Sudan, North Korea, Libya, or other hell hole on a one way ticket. We don’t need or want their kind defiling the USA!
Might be an appropriate day to start “Operation What were you thinking?”
Of course the port commissioners are probably getting ready to tee off right about now...Oops, I forgot I’m 2 hours ahead and 50 pts. higher in I.Q. than them thar doofuses!
I believe the whole mess belongs right on their doorsteps...
The unwashed masses you guys in Olympia had to face...Well, I’m sorry...They do not know what they do...
Correct me if I am wrong, but isn’t impeding the movements of military personnel and materials a Federal offense???
And that in the active impedance of those materials, Deadly Force is authorized???
Other than the obvious stoopidity of sitting in front of a loaded semi-tractor trailer, it seems to me a lengthy prison sentence is in order...
Git on it Olympia!!!
Not knowing the history of protests at the port, you could be right. Telford's capitulation, correspondence, deference to the peace activists hierarchy certainly appears counter-productive on the surface.
I may have had something to do with the editing :)
Then the port commissioner’s need to come clean on this...I’m willing to back off (slightly), if it appears the media spun this to make them (port commissioners) look complicit in informing the anti-war protesters of ships movement and materials transfer...
In any event the entire body of activists that were sitting in front of the transports carrying military hardware, needs to be arrested and charged on the Federal side of interfering with the movement of that material to the fullest extent of the law...
This seditious element should forfeit their American passports, since after all they despise the county through their appalling public displays of open support for America's enemies, and of course they pay their own airfare to depart forever, thus cleaning up the nation.
Just great. This loon is part of my family line somewhere. I just hope we are VERY distant cousins.
We are at war against an Islamo-Nazi enemy determined to exterminate US as a people and as a nation. With the treasonous sellouts depicted in the photos, disrupting the flow required military equipment for our troops combating the enemy overseas, each one of them should be charged as enemy agents.
Here’s a spin for ya...
They have every right to voice an opinion against everything they disagree with...
But they do not have the authority, nor the position to disrupt the movement of materials...
That in the least is sabotage/espionage and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law...
Why they have not been charge with that is beyond me...The Feds do not seem interested in pressing the issue for some reason...
If they fear additional or wider acts of treason, then they need to prepare for it...Thinking its not going to get any worse if they do not charge these mis-guided smelly people for what they are doing, is not the answer...
Thanks for the link. My note to the commissioner:
Mr. Telford,
Man I would not want to be in your shoes right now! Citizens of Washington are outraged at the criminal behavior of the so-called “protesters” at the Port of Olympia. Video of their outrageous acts is being broadcast nationally to the detriment of our reputations.
Now we discover that you gave advance information of the Brittin’s arrival to leaders of these anti-American groups. What were you thinking?!
Hopefully you recognize that the effects of the violence, the damage, and the stain our reputations rests squarely on your shoulders (because it does!).
Way to go!
Stevie
Need to find out who the Federal DA is in that area and ask as to why they are taking NO legal action against this sabotage/espionage and disruption in the movement of war materials...
I’d love to hear their answer on this one...
Will need to post it here for the record...

Shouldn’t these people be out committing suicide?
If they don’t want to live, they should just “move on.”
