Protest at CBN: Reproving Pat Robertson for Backing Rudy Giuliani; Randall Terry, Founder of Operation Rescue, to Lead Protest at CBN

VIRGINIA BEACH, Virg., Nov. 8 /Christian Newswire/ -- "Mr. Roberson's endorsement of Rudy Giuliani is betrayal of the unborn children Pat Robertson is sworn to protect, and treachery of the highest order against Gospel Mr. Robertson professes to believe."

"If Rudy Giuliani was a Democrat, Pat Robertson might denounce him as Satan Himself – or at least Mayor Beelzebronx - Lord of the N.Y. Flies. Rudy would be the poster boy of CBN attack ads and fundraising appeals."

Protest at CBN, with News Conference

When: Saturday, November 10, 1:30 P.M. (ET)

Where: Main Entrance of CBN, Near Founders Inn, at Indian River Road and Centerville Turnpike

Who: Randall Terry, founder of Operation Rescue, and pro-life activists from the Virginia Beach Area.

Randall Terry, Founder of Operation Rescue, has the following statement regarding Pat Robertson's endorsement of Rudy Giuliani.

"If Rudy Giuliani was a Democrat, Pat Robertson might denounce him as Satan Himself – or at least Mayor Beelzebronx - Lord of the N.Y. Flies. Rudy would be the poster boy of CBN attack ads and fundraising appeals.

"Rudy has perfect credentials on social issues like child-killing, partial birth abortion, federal funding for "poor women" to have abortions, and so-called homosexual marriage or civil unions. Add to that his unblemished betrayal of the Second Amendment, and he would be a stellar Democratic candidate – with the ethical stature of Al Sharpton, Al Gore, and Hillary Clinton herself.

"Rudy's treachery to the Catholic Church makes John Kerry look like a choir-boy. During his tenure as mayor Rudy revoked the permit of the Ancient Order of Hibernians for their annual St. Patrick's Day parade. (The Hibernian's are a faithful Catholic Fraternity.) Why? They would not allow homosexual floats to participate in a Catholic Christian parade. The Catholics had to go to Federal Court to get their parade permit back. This is who Pat Robertson is backing.

"Is Pat Robertson so terrified of Hillary that he will betray the Right to Life, Marriage, Self-defense, and The Church Herself as long as a fellow Republican snatches power? Rudy may wade through the blood of the innocent to reach the throne; he may be a stench in the nostrils of Angels – and the nostrils of devils for that matter – but at least Rudy is a stench that comes from the GOP stable – and he's not Hillary. Is this the conviction we expect from Christian Leaders?

"Rudy may prove to be a far greater threat to "family values" than Hillary. Here's why: an enemy outside your camp (Hillary) makes you vigilant; an enemy inside your tent (Rudy) makes you dead. He can cut your throat in the night, or poison your food in the day. Rudy will slowly destroy the meager gains we have made, and will set the core of the GOP at war with itself. He will set the pro-life movement back 20 years; he will aid those who scoff at our right to self-defense; and believe me, he will be marching in the homosexual parades while he assures Pat Robertson and the Religious Right that he supports family values. At that point, the GOP will be a perverse echo of the Democratic Party.

"In the eyes of the Angels, we may find that Hillary's pure evil is far less putrid and damnable than the hypocritical and seductive evil of Rudy's caliber. After all, Rudy has seduced one of the major leaders of the Religious Right. Even Hillary couldn't pull that off."

If it come downs to Satan or Rudy I’ll vote for Rudy.

That being said Rudy won’t be the republican nominee unless it’s fixed. His N.E. republican credentials aren’t going to win the red states.

Fred’s truck may be a little slow on take off but once it get’s up to speed I think you’ll want to climb on board.

He just does not seem to have it together at all.

I think he (Sen. Thompson) waited until election day 2007 before he began to make his push. Have you noticed his first TV Ads on FOX News yet? They were aired I think on Weds. I believe they have begun running in Iowa. Also his schedule has begun to ramp up with more frequent stops in SC and NH.

I can understand the impression of some that the campaign has lacked energy. My favorite local radio talk show host is saying the same thing. I'm really expecting (admittedly hoping) for some positive momentum from election day 2007 forward.

I believe that I understand Pat’s motivation in doing this...

The key is a modern-day prophet named Kim Clement...

Not suprising, the nutjobs on the far right, are no less insane than the nutjobs on the far left.

Rudy is the best hope we have.

As they'd say where I'm from: 'Ya'll ain't from around here, are you, boy'. You all don't understand. If you think you can write off the deep south, and still win the general election, you probably need to count up electoral votes again.

Wrong. Giuliani is the only pubbie who cannot beat Clinton.

Reason: His position on key issues is too close to hers. Therefore a significant portion of conservatives would not vote for him. He would lose by an embarrassing margin.

You’re right, and I can’t see any reason for die-hard Democrats to cross over and vote Giuliani.

Like Rudy seems to have it at all together?

Can you please point me to something that gives this conservative 1 good reason to even consider this man as a candidate for the Republican party? Or even 2 bad reasons?

Just so ya know where I am coming from - Iowa. He knew his nonsense wouldn’t play in Iowa, so he bowed out. His n percent in a state where he didn’t even campaign will be a wonderful result for him and propel him to yadda yadda yadda.

When the media starts fawning over him, will that make you leary???

So you would rather have Clinton?? You ave to be pulling my leg? Right?

Absolutely, I would. Giuliani moves the Republican party to the left, guaranteed no conservative President until 2016 and eliminates any chance of Republicans taking back Congress.

Hillary is so liberal that she paves the way for another Reagan or '94 Republican revolution.

I kn ow Mike Huckabee outside the political arena, and he is the real thing.

In other words, he could be trusted to keep his word if he promised not to raise taxes or expand government?

If it come downs to Satan or Rudy I’ll vote for Rudy.

If those are the choices, the election would come down to Satan openly being himself and Satan pretending to be a conservative.

Electing the latter is worse as it corrupts the Republican party and makes it one of Satan's strongholds.

I never trusted Robertson. I think he has always been a crook and his support of Roooty just proves that the nicest thing you can say about him is that he is a moral relativist.

No Roooty... none of the time!

This will all hurt Robertson more than it helps Roooty.

an enemy outside your camp (Hillary) makes you vigilant; an enemy inside your tent (Rudy) makes you dead

The very reason I would rather have Hillary, than Rudy. We've had the enemy (Bush), whom I voted, for in our camp for eight years already. I'm g___m well not going to play broken glass conservative one more time.

We got more done conservatively under Clinton with the GOP holding the congress, and if it takes Hillary's broom up their backsides to remind the old boys in their gated communities that they can't afford to shaft the rank and file, then "Amen" to that.

Beyond being a senile old fart, or an oppurtunity to suckle at the government's tit???
