Ping for updated Rasmussen daily numbers.
Based on yesterday's spin, can we say that Thompson is in a "virtual tie" with Romney's highest-ever mark, and that Romney has lost over a third of his support since then?
Or would that be unfair?

Over the last week, Thompson lost a point and Romney lost three.
If you go back 30 days, they are both down four points.
Looking at the numbers, it is fairer to say that Romney, McCain, and Huckabee are in a virtual tie for third place not very far behind Thompson at second. If Thompson continues to slip and the others arrest their own slides, it could be a four way tie for second and the MSM will be pleased with the results.

These daily polls are entertaining, but not much more, imho. Trends probably count for something, but let's not forget what happened to Howard Dean.
It's a long campaign this time around.
