A passage where the controversial Hagen calls the prophet Mohammed a warlord, man of violence and abuser of women has, unsurprisingly, caused offense.
"That the Islamic council is disappointed and angry and furious is as expected. I had more or less counted on this to happen when I wrote that," Hagen told newspaper Vårt Land.
Norway's Islamic Council asked Norwegian Muslims to refrain from reacting to Hagen's book.
Hagen's remarks come in connection with the massive trouble linked to the publication of caricatures of the prophet Mohammed.
Hagen writes that the government's handling of the matter led to freedom of speech "taking a back seat to respect for the warlord, man of violence and woman abuser Mohammed, who murdered and accepted rape as a method of conquest".
"If one puts religious feelings high, one cannot remain indifferent to such talk," said Islamic Council Norway leader Senaid Kobilica to Vårt Land.
The council is now working on a statement taking exception to Hagen's remarks and asking Norwegian Muslims not to react in an unsuitable way.
Hagen's memoirs has also received attention for the denigrating comments rained over most of Norway's leading politicians.
Most things that are not celebrations of Islam and Muhammed insult Muslims.
What DOESN’T “insult Muslims?” Please. Someone give me a list.
Rape, child molesting, suicide attacks and other acts of terrorism... those kind of things.

Besides my dying, I’d like to see a list of WHAT THE FLIP doesn’t upset the “peaceful”.
Someone tells the truth. Muslims are insulted. What is new? Perhaps if they stayed in their home lands, their natal hell holes, they would not be exposed to things they think insult them. Don’t like Western culture? Leave.
Islam loves its “God” but hates its “God’s” creation.

One thing they find particularly insulting is people who claim Islamists use violence. Their response to such accusations is this:

- I’ve lived in Scandinavia for almost all of my 38 years and I still don’t understand how the minds of Scandinavian politicians function. They are a mystery to me and I’m not joking.
Iceland and Finland have a much more intelligent attitude towards issues of immigration than the other Nordic/Scandinavian countries, namely Sweden, Norway and Denmark, have. But attitudes are rapidly changing in the latter nations.

Add Western countries with lax immigration laws and craven politicians.
That's tag-line material if I ever saw it.
That's the point, they believe it is suitable to kill us all.
