Pat’s jumped the shark with this one. I guess he decided to go with a pro-abortion, pro-homosexual to try to stop a Mormon. It’s the only thing that makes much sense.
I don’t know. I suppose it’s possible. Then again, he’s 77, so there’s the chance it could be age-related.
Or his head... is just full of sh**. INEXCUSABLE on part of this man. A man without solid principles. a SELL-OUT
Just a little heads up, the Florida rumor is that Charlie Crist, the feel good glad hander, is contemplating a pre-primary endorsement of Giuliani. The quid pro quo is a place on the Vice presidential short list. If this occurs, it will destroy the efforts of many Florida Republicans to make the Florida electorate an Honest Broker in the nomination process of BOTH parties. Giuliani is set to lose, Iowa, New Hampshire and possibly South Carolina. His national Strategy depends upon winning Fla. If we stop him here, gentleman, we may prevail.
Fred Thompson, for reasons I have outlined elsewhere is a non starter. Only Mitt can stop the Giuliani fast track. Without this line in the sand, our next redoubt is a brokered convention.
Jim, please understand that this is an informed opinion, from reliable sources close to the front lines on the ground. Yes, the Crist endorsement is a rumor, but it is from reliable sources and it dovetails with the Giuliani strategy.
I know you guys have reservations about Mitt. Believe me, I do, but this is a street fight to stop Giuliani, and Huckabee, Thompson, Hunter, or McCain just do not have the MoJo. I feel more confident managing our policy differences inside the the Romney Campaign than inside any of the other aforementioned camps.
What I am shouting about is that the seventy per cent conservative wing of the party must unite soon to stop Rudy. Only Mitt has the resources and organization to do it. I have seen the underbelly of these campaigns. Unite, or we will have a Subway series November 2008. We have all had a nice ride, slamming each other's favorite son. In all seriousness, it is now time for the big dogs to have the field. Mitt has the money to make a fifty state run. None of these other guys do. Time to grow up, gentlemen.
How in heaven’s name is Giuliani preferable to a devout Mormon who’s been faithful to his wife and who has a loyal family backing him in the campaign? I just don’t get it. If anti-Mormon prejudice is behind Robertson’s endorsement, it is positively sickening and he’s no Christian. The guy thinks Giuliani’s going to win and he wants to get some juice from his endorsement and eventually an invite to the White House when Rudy is elected. Nothing else makes any sense.
I thought Pat had Romney speak to his school, and wasn’t really opposed to him.
But who knows with Pat.
