NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP -- Construction crews found a torched and headless body Thursday morning on Hidden Ridge Drive in Northville Township.
Police were able to identify the body as 26-year-old Daniel Gene-Vincent Sorensen by using a partial fingerprint technique, despite the severe burns on Sorensens hands. Police said the severely burned hands seemed to be an effort to hide his identity.
Police confirmed that Sorensen was a registered sex offender.
A neighbor called to report a fire on Wednesday night, sometime between 7:30 and 10:30 p.m., according to police.
Police said they believe the man was killed elsewhere and then dropped off in the newly developed subdivision.
A Northville Township Water and Sewage crew found the body while checking on a hydrant.
Police said there were no clothes on the torso.
Search and rescue dogs were called to the scene to search for the victims head.
Police said they do not have any suspects at this time.
Bay Harbor Butcher, or Dark Defender?
If you are looking for tears of anguish and gnashing of teeth, you might want to leave. My give a damn meter seems to be stuck on zero.
Not all, but most definitely some.
Give a man a fire and you warm him for a night.....set a man on fire and you warm him for the rest of his life.
NorthVILLE is fairly close to Detroit.
NorthPORT is a long way away.
Was he dead?
Ping.
Looks like they found his head
Depending upon the past crime(s) of the late toasted corpse, poetic justice can be assumed.
What goes around comes around.
A few more cases like this may put a dent in the sex offender business.
When authorities fail to take any action, people will.
Oh well.
Unfortunately, a justice system that is as corrupted as ours is going to experience this.
Of course it is, anything East of Lansing is Detoilet
....
“It burned for a long time,” Wildt said.
Sorensen’s head has not been found and a cause of death has not been released.
“Who would do something like this to my son?” his father, Jim Sorensen, told MyFOXDetroit.

Maybe victims of your son!
One less molester on the loose, makes me happy.
Ultimately the sentences set for any individual crime in our society is a political decision.
For good or bad the people we elect to lead us (should) reflect the general will of the people.
We get the government we deserve and people we elect the reflect the general moral attitude of the populace.
He was seriously committed to avoiding therapy.
Turns out it had nothing to do with Sorenson’s offense, which was similar to the Genarlow Wilson case in ages, both under 18 at the time. It was a “thrill killing”. So far, an 18 and a 17 year old are in custody.
Yep. Here’s the linkage:
And for all those high-fiving the evil killers, the ‘evil’ sex offender was convicted of being 17 and having sex with a 14 year old.
Not exactly a capital crime to a rational or moral person.
Killing another human being for fun? Yeah, that would be a capital crime.
