The girl’s heart was probably breaking from having to be separated from her home and family. Yet the woman expects the girl to make and instan adjustment and get into normal gear immediately.

Exactly. They treat these kids like commodities, and don’t realize how much testing the kids will do. Poor child, her fears were justified that this mother wouldn’t keep her, either.

She should be ashamed of herself. You do not just throw a child away especially one that has been in the system and thrown away by their birth parents. Once Zahina realized that her birth parents did not want her she should have been counseled and if free counseling is not available then pay for it. She would have paid for Laura and Zahina should not have been treated any different. FIRST DO NO HARM! If you cannot give a child unconditional love, or if you cannot love them like you love your birth children then do not adopt. The child will suffer the most and it will be at your hand. It is extremely sad what happened here.
