On the matter of Terri Schiavos right to life, which occupied the attention of the media and Congress in 2005, Thompson called that a family decision, in consultation with their doctor, and the federal government should not be involved. Thompson added, the less government the better. ...
In the case of Terri Schiavo, a severely disabled person, there was a family dispute. Her estranged husband wanted her to die and he eventually succeeded in starving her to death. Her parents had wanted her to live. ...
There was no moral justification for killing Terri because she had an inherent right to life and there was no clear evidence that she wanted food and water withdrawn. The morally correct course of action would have been to let her family take care of her. Nobody would have been harmed by that.
Meet the Press host Tim Russert brought up the death of Thompsons daughter, who reportedly suffered a brain injury and a heart attack after an accidental overdose of prescription drugs. Apparently Thompson and members of his family made some decisions affecting her life and death. Thompson described it as an end-of-life issue.
Bobby Schindler says he doesnt know what the circumstances precisely were in that case and that he sympathizes with what Thompson went through. However, he says that it is not comparable at all to his sisters case.
What no one is recognizing, he told me, is that my sisters case was not an end-of-life issue. She was simply and merely disabled. Terri wasnt dying. She was only being sustained by food and water. She had no terminal illness. She wasnt on any machines. All she needed was a wheelchair and she could have been taken anywhere. She didnt even need to be confined to a bed.

Thanks, Jim, for stepping in. I have supported Fred. Guiliani is what the Clintons want. No way. I was born around there and know that attitude. Romney is fine, too, being intellectually Conservative like Gingrich. Hunter too. Tancredo’s message screwed up Mrs. Clinton and has good traction in screwing the democrats up bad. With the help of Rush. Tancredo has done his job. Huckabee will get walked all over by the Rats, just like George W. got walked over by being “compassionate”. That can’t happen again.
You want less filling or more taste?
You can’t be for the Constitution, and against it, at the same time, Joe.
Oh, I guess you can when you support a loser for POTUS.
OMG — a Democrat? Are you kidding. Do you think they could ever field a candidate which could meet up to better standards than the Republicans can put forth? LOL!
I’m still waiting for the Republicans to “step up to the plate...”

LOL how silly, what a bunch of baloney.
Well I have to admit that you are a master of the Constitutional History of thr United States. I guess this is as a result of the courses you took in Constitutional Law.
So what will you do if they don’t live up to your standards?
Not vote?
I would only advocate whatever our founding fathers found necessary to form this government that they stated was needed in the Declaration of Independence. I think they set a good example for us all. And whatever government does not recognize those founding principles, those specific ones which were stated as unalienable and granted by our Creator God — it does not deserve to be supported any longer...

Over the last 5 years Pat has become "that crazy uncle in the attic."
He certainly sold out today
He's not an intellectual anything. He's the big opportunist and liberal flipflopping fraud in the Presidential fold. He fled the state he governed after a disastrous term and left it to a Black Marxist. One term of this guy as President and he'd reduce the GOP to 1/3rd of Congress and hand his job off to Obama.
Well, I disagree with him on Terri and I’m supporting Thompson anyway. Why? Because I’m practical. He’s going to have influence over Judges, I prefer his judgement on those picks rather then the alternatives.
While anything can happen, wouldn’t have predicted 7 years ago illegal immigration would be one of THE issues or the WOT, at this moment his opinion on the circumstances affecting Terri isn’t going to matter. I see no real movement toward legislaton to protect the rights of people like her on the horizon anytime soon. Mainly because like with embryonic research a LOT of eductaion by those of us who are pro-life has got to get out before the politicians change their minds.
As to him being over? Pfft. I’m not embracing the elites picks.
From the Declaration of Independence to the Articles of Confederation to the ratification of the Constitution — they are all part of a continuum or process by which the original intent, as stated in the Declaration of Independence came about. It’s not that they said, “Oh well, that Declaration of Independence was good while it lasted and now we can scrap that PR and garbage and be “on with business as usual” (with “governments”) and get back to lording it over some people here in this country. No, they followed through with the very thing they started with the Declaration of Independence, forming that government by which they could guarantee those specifically stated unalienable rights which are granted only by our Creator God and not by any Constitution or any Articles of Confederation or by any other human document. They formed the government (in that continuum and process) to do that very thing they started out to do.
It is some of the people of today who have forgotten what it was all about and wish to divorce the founding principles from the documents which were formed, afterwards, to ensure that those founding principles were adhered to and protected.

Well, O’Reilly also said amnesty would pass so...maybe it’s a good sign.
Beautifully put. Perfect.
And that nature was formed by our Creator God, just like those unalienable rights are granted by that same Creator God, which no government can grant, limit or take away...

I'm truly amazed that there are still people trumpeting the lesser of two evils mantra, at this point in time. The only explanation I can come up with for that is that either we (you) don't think the condition of our government and country is that bad... or we have been conditioned by those in power to keep letting that line go lower and lower.
We have sunk so low that now we're at the point now where many will probably get behind the "Republican candidate" who is a pro-choice, pro gay marriage, gun-control supporting, open borders globalist... why? Because he has an (R) by his name!!! And what's the mantra again? Ah yes, he's the lesser of two evils! Woohooo!

She was a shell with no brain. She was murdered or died years ago.
Well, I guess that’s life...
I was referring to Giuliani, in case anyone misunderstood.
