Henry Wallace, the Vice President of the United States, was pushed out of his office and replaced by Harry Truman in 1944. God must have been watching over us, or perhaps it was Senator McCarthy. Is that ever mentioned? Nope. What did McCarthy have to do with Truman being picked as vice-president?
