Unfortunately, I think your desire to see big news outlets reporting stories like this will be unfulfilled so best not to look a gifthorse in the mouth when it comes to outlets like WND being willing to report.
Remember how NBC was regarding allegations of rape by Juanita Broadrick.

Well, technically the charge is in the book, and WND is probably accurately quoting the book. The claim in the book was based on a WND reporter, so the book itself may be suspect. The book was published by a WND affiliate.
