Disappearance of cop's fourth wife suspicious, relatives say

BOLINGBROOK, Illinois (CNN) -- Police are using tracking dogs, airplanes, infrared sensors and volunteers on foot Tuesday to look for a young mother who disappeared nine days ago, leaving her 4- and 2-year-old children behind.

Stacy Peterson, 23, has been missing from her suburban Chicago home since October 28.

1 of 2 Friends and relatives of Stacy Peterson, 23, say her disappearance is suspicious.

Her husband of four years, Bolingbrook police Sgt. Drew Peterson, 53, reportedly has told police his wife said she was leaving him for another man, and police are not treating the disappearance as a criminal investigation.

But the woman's aunt, Candace Aikin, of El Monte, California, said Stacy Peterson confided in her that there were problems during a visit to the Peterson home in suburban Chicago last month.

"She said that she was afraid because he was following her around 24/7, even inside the house," Aikin said. "He was very obsessed and stalking her, even inside her house.

"She was very, very full of stress and just not happy in her marriage at all," Aikin said.

While it’s a small town, it’s only about 35 or 40 minutes from Chicago.

There are trailer parks 30 miles from midtown Manhattan.

And in those trailer park areas, a guy who has a steady government job and owns a ranch home and a new truck is a hot property to the local women.

Even though those same women live a 45 minute bus ride away from the NYC nightlife.

This a local story. The only reason we are hearing about it is because no celebrities have been to jail, gotten arrested, or had their kids taken away this week and the ambulance chasing media is short on material. They got tons of mileage out of Lacy Peterson so why not refry the same pot of beans?

Someone wake me when we get back to important issues.

Naw, wasn’t arranged. It was Kentucky. They didn’t arrange things, they just needed kids to work the farms. haha.

they may have truly been in love.

In love? What would they possibly have in common? With credit to Nick Griffin, what would they talk about, whether her favorite cereal has marshmallows in it?

Nope, didn’t disappear either. He was a farmer, and apparently was pretty wealthy. :) (I think that fits the previous description someone made, about young girls marrying rich guys).

Voicing disaproval? Uh, I guess you haven't heard. For the last six months or so at FR, we celebrate > 20 year age discrepancies.

Hard to tell. If the guy didn’t have such a weird past I’d say they may have truly been in love. Otherwise...either she’s crazy or he’s hung like a rhino.

My wife is from a small town. Her mom worked some years as a police dispatcher. They were all told to vote Democrat every election. No need to pretend in a small town. Not the point I want to make though.

To my larger point. One of the cops in the small town literally stalked my ex-wife for months trying to get her to go out with him, meet him somewhere and on and on. She was a young girl working at McDonalds at the time. Years latter when my wife told her mom about the cop and what he had done, she (her mom) just couldn't believe it. After all, in her wordds "this officer was the nicest, most honest policeman on their entire force. Just no way he could have done this."

Well believe it, many, if not most, cops are nothing more than stalkers with a badge and cover of authority for their actions.

I’ve seen it before.

Fred and Jeri Thompson for an example...however...she was 35 when they married. BIG difference.

Either way my point was more that while one MIGHT accept it if he were not the ex-husband of three women who died in mysterious circumstances...it looks bad.

Whatever.

There is a difference when:

A-the groom hasn’t had 3 wives die under mysterious circumstances
B-the bride herself is old enough to buy alcohol
C-neither one shows signs of gold-digging or “looking-for-my-daddyism”

I have two Yorkies that follow me around and give me the that Yorkie stare.

The 1 1/2 pound female teacup actually dominates the 10 pound male, and one could say she runs the entire household, including my wife and my two sons.

I read on a thread here last nite by fishblog that wifey #3 was found dead in a DRY bathtub with multiple contusions and bloody.

Coroner ruled it an accident. Hmmmmm

This fellow is up to no good IMO.

Wonder if any insurance settlements where involved.

The British had their conservatories and greenhouses where they grew a lot of stuff all year round.
