Could that be because he is a nanny-state, tax & spend, pro-amnesty liberal RINO?

I give Fred and Fredheads probably as much heartburn as anyone here, but I have to hand it to him for this one. It was a solid backhand.

Huck is hovering in McCain/Rudy territory, IMO.

And oddly he’s gaining support according to polls. Seems like the polls indicate a divide in our parties factions. Atleast that’s how it can be interpetted.

Pissant, if Duncan does win a state primary early on...know I’ll deeply consider him in my CA primary (as any Thompson supporter should). But as I see it now, it’s Rudy, Romney or Thompson....maybe even Huckabee. I will not allow Rudy to win the nomination...it’s the end of our party. Bless Jim Robinson for acknowledging the threat of Rudy in our party.

I’d love it if it was just between Hunter and Fred. Geez, my worries would melt away. I think Duncan’s an excellent candidate, and who knows...perhaps like Kerry he’ll come out of nowhere. Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope we atleast have someone we can vote for. And if Duncan can pass that, I’ll wholly support him.

He is gonna give it a big push and see what happens. He is going to target certain states. And hopefully do OK in Iowa, as well.

I do not like Huckabee. He is a panderer. I almost lost my dinner watching him on the value voters debate and the minority issues debate.

The problem is that there are 5 guys vying for the conservative vote and one Rudy. So after the early primaries, it will shake out, I reckon. It usually does.

You’re absolutely right. Rudy is solid in many north-eastern states, because the religious/conservative part of the Republican party is very weak (in comparison to liberal philsophy) there...as far as political influence goes.

The early primaries will heavily influence the result (ie the ones in January), and hopefully candidates such as Huckabee leave really early. McCain, too.

That would leave a more conservative strip of candidates. I could stomach voting for Romney (in the generals), even though I think he’d lose. I’d like to see Duncan and Fred do well in any of the early primaries. That would give me the best feelings.

If Rudy wins, I don’t know how I’ll feel.

Just recently I have started taking a big interest in politics.

I am from Maine, and what gulls my arze is Maine cannot vote in the primaries!!!!  I am really upset over this.

Can you or someone please explain to me why constituents in Maine have been shut out of picking the President of their choice??

F&*^abee is Clinton with an “R” after his name. Fortunately, I don’t believe we have to worry about him surviving the primaries. I personally think Paul will do better than he will in the long run.

She, I’m sure you are already aware of Hucks smoker banning ways. If he is the VP for a Rudy, he and Nurse Judy will be spending all of their waking hours on their pet project of “preventative medicine”, i.e. codeword for drop the chalupa and quit smoking.

I think a ping is in order.

I was quite shocked!  I called the County Clerk's office about this and she told me that Maine does  NOT HAVE a primary election.

I am SO pissed.  No wonder they call this state BLUE!
