Politicians are soon going to change the elgibility age for SS benefits to 106

If they do it will not effect the boomers. You guys are way to strong a voting block to have that happen. Now us X’ers...

There is no way that the boomer generation is going to be able to collect benefits equal to what today’s old coots are getting. It is simply not possible. The tax on working people would be prohibitive. There is no money socked away to pay these benefits. What boomers, who are in their earnings prime, are paying in now, is all going right out again to current recipients. Yes, it’s true that Gen X’ers and all others following will also be screwed by the system, but that applies to boomers as well. It doesn’t matter how strong of a voting block boomers are, the money is will not be there.
