November 5, 2007 -- "New York City's ports are becoming easier targets for terrorist attacks now that the FDNY has blocked anti-terror training to an elite firefighter unit that patrols the city's 560 miles of waterfront, officers for the division say.
Ronald Podolsky, a lawyer for the FDNY Marine Division's officers, told The Post that the department is "preventing" division members from receiving the supposedly mandatory training - even though their vessels contain equipment to detect biological, chemical, nuclear and radiological attacks."

If it’s a nuclear attack, I don’t think the boat would be around long enough to use their Geiger counters.
“If its a nuclear attack, I dont think the boat would be around long enough to use their Geiger counters.”
Who would be left to use them on?
Not true. They wouldn’t want to detonate a bomb IN the waterfront, but rather downtown someplace. The point being to kill as many as possible. The folks transporting it might not even KNOW about it too.
The left (Spitzer and Bloomerberg) don’t care about the country. They prefer to see us dead than violate PC.
“The left (Spitzer and Bloomerberg) dont care about the country.”
No, they don’t.
” They prefer to see us dead than violate PC.”
This violates more than PC...defies common sense and puts lives at risk.
PC and defying common sense...redundant.
Nevertheless, it typifies the views of my liberal friends. Their attitude toward waterboarding and other forms of annoying prisoners is that to torture a prisoner to obtain information about a nuclear device planted in Manhattan is verboten because it would place us down at the same level as the terrorists and we would have thereby “lost” the conflict. These same folks also swear that the prisoners are representatives of an oppressed people who are morally superior to Americans, especially patriots and Christians. Go figure.
I understand all too well.
When I suggest that the nuke is planted in My friends’ town the voice quavers just a tad but then comes down on the side of “noble” suicide.
lol
