I’m not really all that convinced of the Telegraph’s accuracy on a lot of their listings.
For instance, off the top of my head, I remember they listed Glenn Beck in the top 20 conservatives, above even the President. Beck is a half-rate talk show host and humorist.
Glenn spent most of his show making light of the list specifically because he’d been listed that high.
On the whole though the Telegraph are fairly right wing and is considered to be the quality right wing paper where as the Mail and express though right wing tend to be thought of as less serious publications.
I admit I take the Express as with my schedule I prefer a quick read in a paper along with some decent sports coverage and of course a dose of gossip.
Yeah the list was a joke. Any listing of Most Influential American Conservatives that lists Rush Limbaugh as number 4 or 5 doesn’t have a clue. Rush is by far the most Influential Conservative in the USA today. He is the only one that can move large numbers of the various Conservative factions in the same direction. Some Conservative may have more influence with this group or that group but take as a whole, no one has the impact of Rush Limbaugh
How do you measure influence? I suspect the most influential liberals are in entertainment, or the editorial board of the New York Times.
