To me, this the enemy's game plan - to keep the GOP base split and to get kooks to run third party

Actually, Republicans are trying to get Bloomberg to run again, hoping that could split the Dim vote in some key northeastern states like NY, NJ, PA, CT.

Republicans like me who support Ron Paul in the primaries are very likely to stay with the GOP. I'm going to vote GOP unless Giuliani is the nominee. To vote for him would compromise everything I've voted for over the years. And I don't like him and I don't trust him at all. I can easily for for any other candidate in the GOP field and I think Fred or Mitt show a lot of promise.

Ron Paul says he won't run third-party. And that is sensible. It really is wrong to run for a party's nomination in its primaries and then jump ship when you lose the primaries. Even in 2000, Buchanan left the party long before the primaries for this reason. I don't think voters will vote in any great numbers for a sore loser who participates in the primary process and then refuses to abide by it. If you do that, you were never a member of the party to begin with.

Now, someone like Bloomberg who is a liberal party-hopper to begin with, he could get away with running since he isn't participating in the GOP primaries. And that's why some GOP bigwigs are trying to get him to run. He would do far more damage to Hitlery than to us. And in her key states. He would also hurt Giuliani too, another reason not to pick Rudi if Bloomberg decides to run because they both appeal to the same kinds of voters, Bloomberg being Rudi's handpicked successor.

Ah, I like a person who thinks. You hit the nail on the head and it’s just not the Dem party; it’s ours too. The point is to keep our party divided so they can elect whatever anti-american or rino they can to keep their agenda moving forward.
