I believe this is the same county that banned Santa Claus from a Christmas parade a few years ago, because non-Christians might feel left out of the fun.
I haven't heard about such, but I do remember back in 2001, when the town of Kensington (which is in Montgomery County) banned Santa Claus due to similar concerns. If I remember correctly, the people complaining would have actually been fine with Santa if a menorah or some such were included in the display, which used Santa and a Christmas tree.
