Actually he said "It belongs to human nature to hate those you have injured.", on a rant against the cruelties of Domitian and Tiberius's overrunning the facade of democracy.

I'm not a Latin scholar. I chose the name because my last name is Tackett, I admire the man's chutzpah and humor, and we are indeed repeating the historical tragedy he reported so well.
