This isn’t new, although I hadn’t heard of it being so out front at the university level. About 5 years ago, one of my kids had a HS teacher who gave them handouts of exactly this same white privilege cr*p. She was an English teacher, unfortunately head of the department.

After a few weeks of reading the handouts, I had him transferred to another teacher’s class, where his grade promptly went from C to A.

The white privilege crap was especially obnoxious as a teaching tool because the bussed in city kids got much more lenient treatment for rule infractions and it was obvious to all.

People who write these sorts of things are throwbacks longing for the "Civil Rights Glory Days" of the 50's and 60's. They're simply "spoiling for a fight" in an effort based on ignorance to rekindle the fire.

Problem is, except for America's most popular race baiters like Jesse, Al and Louis, nobody really dwells on fighting about it all anymore.

The professional victims abound, mining for frivilous lawsuits and convinced that the world mistreats them - not because of attitude - but because they are of a different race.

What is apparent is that the higher the education, the less prone one is to wallow in the trap of race baiting, i.e. Clarence Thomas, Bill Cosby, Walter Williams, etc. They have decided to use their minds and not their feelings to genuinely assess the situation in the world today, and render fair judgement based on facts, and not the rantings of a ratings-hungry out-of-control news media....and good for them.

The "All Whites are Racists.." remark is tantamount to an immature teen telling their parent "you don't love me" to get attention and to get their way.

For the whites who might really be racists, maybe if they hadn't been steadily accused of it for 50 years, they'd come around to....

While it's off-point from this article, has anyone surfed into CNN's special on nooses and lynchings this week (repeated at least twice that I know of)? The race-baiters just won't let old wounds heal!

The horrible graphic images of black lynching victims serve a specific political purpose. This kind of stuff is trotted out like clockwork before every major election, usually by PBS (and now CNN) to ensure the Black vote doesn't stray too far from the Liberal Plantation.

I grew up wile Jim Crow was still very much alive and its inequities, along with images of lynchings I saw in Time Magazine and elsewhere, turned me into a Civil Rights crusader long before Martin Luther King came on the scene. It's a tragedy his movement was usurped by radical Leftists and race pimps who have "enslaved" Blacks once again in the role of victims.

While not all whites are "racists," the ones that are, make life miserable for everybody who isn't. I know of two diehard racists in high-up places in the administration of a Delaware school district.

No matter what we do, we can't be rid of them...they are part of the First State Clique and are very protected. They could call a student a racial epithet and lynch him in public...and get away with it.

It's people like these that inspire such rot as this.

Shakti Butler, Ph.D., author of the laughable Diversity Facilitation Training (pdf) pamphlet containing the quotes heading this thread, got her doctorate from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), a small urban school specializing in alternative subjects, e.g., somatic/spiritual philosophy. It appears to be a haven for Esalen Institute types, veterans of the "integrated body/mind consciousness" movement of the 1970s in Big Sur.

Butler's CV doesn't mention a dissertation. Indeed, no publications whatsoever are listed, except for an ambiguous list of "Videos and Publications," where no distinction is made between what's a video and what's a publication.

Butler's Ph.D., obtained 25 years after she received her B.S., is a political evaluation, not a scholarly one. She is a race-sensitivity speaker, a flourishing industry, wholly created by the suffocating, anti-liberty forces of political correctness.

This is the "expert" the University of Delaware chose to indoctrinate its students.

Say what you will about what I'm about to say, but I stand by it:

This is all about two things: (1) REVENGE, and (2) misplaced GUILT.

On the one hand, there is a faction of angry, bitter, people who have gotten it into their heads that revenge is justified--on the part of mistreated ancestors and for real or perceived wrongs they feel they have suffered. Never mind that they are painting an entire human race with that broad brush of theirs--they have been wronged and, by God, they are going to get even.

On the other hand, there are people who, as Bernard Goldberg has put it, are white, enjoy all the privileges of being white, KNOW they are enjoying those privileges, FEEL GLAD TO THEIR CORES FOR IT, and feel guilty for it (yes, I've read Bias). They feel so guilty for being glad of their position that they feel justified in making amends for what they perceive to be the misdeeds of their race, no matter which individuals their position harms. If saying all whites are racists makes them feel better then they will make that statement and stand by it--anything to assuage the guilt they feel.

I don't have any problems making these statements because my conscience is clear. I can confidently say that neither I nor my family have done anything to put minorities in this country into the state they're in. My family came here in the 1950's after both the Nazi's and the Communists turned their country upside down, and they moved to a northern U.S. state (I could tell stories about what the Nazis and Communists did to some of my family members but that's a different story). The point is that I have no problem pointing out how offended I am when other people imply that I am in any way guilty for the plight of minorities in this country and I have no problems tearing their argument to pieces.

What can I say. It's late, I'm tired, and I'm in no mood to play nice with these crazy leftists. Am I a racist? I don't think so, but I wasn't born yesterday. If some idiot, minority or otherwise, attempts to con, guilt-trip, or threaten me out of my wages I have no problems standing in their way and telling them to take a hike. I'm not afflicted by guilt.
