"All Whites Are Racists" - And only Whites Are Racists

I'm not a Latin scholar. I chose the name because my last name is Tackett, I admire the man's chutzpah and humor, and we are indeed repeating the historical tragedy he reported so well.

Say what you will about what I'm about to say, but I stand by it:

This is all about two things: (1) REVENGE, and (2) misplaced GUILT.

On the one hand, there is a faction of angry, bitter, people who have gotten it into their heads that revenge is justified--on the part of mistreated ancestors and for real or perceived wrongs they feel they have suffered. Never mind that they are painting an entire human race with that broad brush of theirs--they have been wronged and, by God, they are going to get even.

On the other hand, there are people who, as Bernard Goldberg has put it, are white, enjoy all the privileges of being white, KNOW they are enjoying those privileges, FEEL GLAD TO THEIR CORES FOR IT, and feel guilty for it (yes, I've read Bias). They feel so guilty for being glad of their position that they feel justified in making amends for what they perceive to be the misdeeds of their race, no matter which individuals their position harms. If saying all whites are racists makes them feel better then they will make that statement and stand by it--anything to assuage the guilt they feel.

I don't have any problems making these statements because my conscience is clear. I can confidently say that neither I nor my family have done anything to put minorities in this country into the state they're in. My family came here in the 1950's after both the Nazi's and the Communists turned their country upside down, and they moved to a northern U.S. state (I could tell stories about what the Nazis and Communists did to some of my family members but that's a different story). The point is that I have no problem pointing out how offended I am when other people imply that I am in any way guilty for the plight of minorities in this country and I have no problems tearing their argument to pieces.

What can I say. It's late, I'm tired, and I'm in no mood to play nice with these crazy leftists. Am I a racist? I don't think so, but I wasn't born yesterday. If some idiot, minority or otherwise, attempts to con, guilt-trip, or threaten me out of my wages I have no problems standing in their way and telling them to take a hike. I'm not afflicted by guilt.

their former racist or the more modern term racialist leanings have been appropriated by the very folks they no longer hold such views towards.

I think social pressure enables or inhibits these notions depending upon the mood of the dominant group

and that this notion of group identification and subsequent racialism is natural but that usually on one to one intraction the innate good nature in humans prevails...or at least used to

The sad part is that the idiots, bitter revenge-seekers, or others who put out garbage like “all whites are racists” will wind up turning (white) people against them when they make such statements. If someone is going to call me a racist when I’ve done nothing to them, why would I want to lift a finger to help them?

I bike for charity every year. I do it for a lot of different reasons: in memory of a relative who was afflicted with a disease, in memory of someone in my bike club who got me into it in the first place, and because I really enjoy it. It is ENTIRELY voluntary. But in the event that the charity tried to guilt-trip me into riding (not that they ever would), that would be the LAST time I ever rode for them. These *ssh*l*s who try to paint an entire race as racists would do well to learn the importance of common courtesy. Otherwise they can kindly go **** themselves.

Thanks for the tip. I studied the Frankfurt School, Gramsci et al. about 20 years ago. It's frightening to see how few Americans are aware of what's happening.
