Hillary Reveals Her Inner Self

The story isn't that the Democrats finally took on Hillary Clinton. Nor is it that they were gentlemanly to the point of gingerly and tentative. There was an air of "Please, somebody kill her for me so I can jump in and show high minded compassion at her plight!"
Barack Obama, with his elegance and verbal fluency really did seem like that great and famous political figure from his home state of Illinois--Adlai Sevenson, who was not at all hungry, not at all mean, and operated at a step removed from the grubby game. Mr. Obama is like someone who would write in his diaries, "I shall point out Estes Kefauver's manifold inconsistencies, then to luncheon with Arthur and Marietta."
The odd thing is it's easier to be a killer when you know exactly what you stand for, when you have a real philosophy. The philosophy becomes a platform from which you can strike without ambivalence. Mr. Obama seems born to be mild. But still, that's not the story.
Nor is it that John Edwards seems like a furry animal on a wheel, trying so hard, to the point he's getting a facial tic, and getting nowhere, failing to get his little furry paws on his prey, not knowing you have to get off the wheel to get to the prey. You have to stop the rounded, rote, bromidic phrases, and use a normal language that cannot be ignored.

Both of you brilliant, as usual.
Her riposte of "you are afraid of strong women, waah, you're hitting a girl" is designed for across-the-board female appeal.
And it works.
Are we seeing the first cracks in the armor, or is it a mirage?

No doubt they have already concluded that there is a huge difference between a married women who tends to vote Republican and single women who tend to vote Democrat. That difference was shrunk to low single digits in the NY Senate race in 2000.
What she did there, which seemed so transparent and contrived to us guys, really, really worked.
And she's doing it again.
And it works, like a bast*rd.

The reason HRC is so hard to defeat is because as politically incorrect as it is to say, women ARE different from men in terms of their thinking, not just their physical anatomy. When women hear men laughing at things like "listening," they think that men don't get it, and that maybe someone like HRC IS what they need in office. This is why we must repeal women's suffrage. /only partially s

If the average liberal or semi-liberal woman begins to think that Hillarys policy will lead to more terrorist attacks on America, they will vote against Hillary. No they won't.
They've bought into the "America is bad" paradigm and Bush/Cheney are evil stuff.
Our bookstores are flooded with it. Just walk into any Barnes and Nobles or Borders (like I did last night) and you'll see.

And until men quit doing as you did, quit calling her bitch, she wont be taken down. All that word does even to a conservative woman is set any womans teeth on edge. It muddies your fine argument with something that women instinctively hate, men who call women, any women, bitches. It is like the N word for many many women. I know there are exceptions, but I dont like women who call women bitches either. It is a sisterly kind of thing. Well then. I'll use the "c" word.
It's more fitting anyway.

Ahem...Peggy, it’s Stevenson, not Sevenson.
Apparently, he wasn’t quite famous enough. (Joke!)

I agree. She can’t just say what she thinks. It’s got to be clever and poetic and deep. Snooooooooze. Just say it, Peggy. Then again, I’m the fool bothering to read another predictably boring Noonan column. Shame on me.

The “you can’t hit a girl” meme worked during a campaign for Senator of NY where 99.9% of the press was hard left and let her get away with it, but it won’t work for POTUS. The media can try, but POTUS is whole ‘nother ballgame, where everyone knows being strong and able to withstand extraordinary pressure is a prerequisite. We can see from the press coverage of the debate that her whininess isn’t working. If she really were the smartest woman in the history of the universe, she’d throw out that page of the playbook immediately.
In the general election all the Pubbie has to say is, “You can’t take the heat from me but you think you can take down al Qaeda?” Game, set and match to the Pubbie.

Hillary Returns to Wellsley.
Question:
How many Wellsley Girls does it take to change a light bulb?
Answer:
It’s Wymin, and that’s not funny!

Very apt. It's maddening to know there are so many who, in spite of access to so many sources of information, will not come to a reasoned decision on so important an issue.

I believe that your personal and emotional reaction to my post has ratified its underlying thesis. I note that you did not excoriate me for calling Hillary a bitch because she was innocent of the charge, we both know that she is not. Your distress is gender related and has nothing to do with the legitimacy of the charge. I am utterly unrepentant in that respect because the charge is true and the language is fair. It is fair to call any woman a bitch who hires private detectives to destroy other women women who have been sexually assaulted by her husband in order to preserve her own political ambitions.
However, I do take in good spirit and to heart your admonition respecting women's reaction to men using the term. As I said, your reaction anecdotally ratifies my original thesis:
If Hillary is to be taken down, she must be taken down by other females. When men do it, the Clintons simply deploy their surrogates to slander the truth teller. Of course they try the same thing against female critics, but that raises problems for them and it is not nearly as effective. The Clinton war room can dismiss Rush Limbaugh as a hatemonger and sell that lie but it cannot effectively smear Peggy Noonan
I am glad you found the rest of the post to be of interest.
