Hillary's Position On Illegal Immigration? She's "Forgainst!"

Hillary Rodham Clinton may have achieved the politically impossible: She has managed to out-Kerry John Kerry himself.

Sen. Flip-Flop, you recall, famously claimed that, on the issue of funding U.S. troops, he voted “for the $87 billion before I voted against it.”

Clinton, on the other hand, managed to declare herself both for and against driver’s licenses for illegal aliens at the same time. When it comes to illegal immigration, Hillary is forgainst!

Don’t believe me? Ask her yourself. Wait, Tim Russert already tried that.

During Tuesday night’s Democratic debate he twice asked her the same yes-or-no question: Does she “support the New York governor’s plan to give illegal immigrants a driver’s license?”

Clinton’s answer? I’m still surfing the Web for an English translation of her comments.

I’m not saying that the junior senator from New York was unclear in her convictions, not at all. She plainly stated that giving N.Y. driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants “makes a lot of sense.” She forcefully argued that Gov. Eliot Spitzer “is trying to fill the vacuum left by the failure of the Bush administration” on immigration, and that illegal immigrants are driving on New York roads right now.

“The possibility of them having an accident is just a matter of the odds. It’s probability,” Clinton argued, defending the license plan.

Then, Clinton promptly stated just as forcefully that she does not support the idea whatsoever.

“I did not say it should be done,” Clinton told a clearly puzzled Russert. When Chris Dodd reminder her that, just seconds earlier, “You said yes, you thought it made sense to do it,” she stated flat out: “No I didn’t, Chris.”

Clinton: She may not be a man, but she’s definitely got, er, cojones.

with apprehension- will we see another surge of resistance to her loony ideas, ala the first incarnation of Clintonism, or will America go quietly into that Good Night?

Anticipating eight years of that horrible screech lecturing her lessors every day on TV gives me the creeps.

To say nothing of the prospect of a rerun of Clinton I & II-- the Friday night data dumps, the bobbleheads on TV nodding at The Received Wisdom from their betters, the all abortion, all gun control, all suppress free speech-- all the time...nonstop propaganda...

From what I've read since her performance Tuesday night... she's hurt herself badly. Whether it puts her nomination in doubt... depends on the buzz it creates... and her skill in dealing with it.

It's great to know that driver's licenses prevent traffic accidents. It's amazing what a little piece of plastic can do.

Maybe we should start issuing breathing licenses, so that people won't get lung cancer anymore.

And how about a license to open up a bank account, so that nobody will ever again go broke.

And of course, a license to own a firearm. That way nobody will ever get shot.
