NOTE: it can now be revealed. My trip to the Northeast, in which we screened HILLARY! UNCENSORED, began as a trip to attend the Denise Rich Angel Ball. It is a long story, but I'll have to give the short version. A friend invited me to join her party at the Ball. She had arranged a major donation of artwork for the charity auction and was supposed to have a table for 10. Unfortunately, it didn't quite work out that way, and they only allowed two to attend the Ball. The rest of us were allowed to go to the After Party.

Because of the SNAFU, a group of seven guys in tuxedos were provided with dinner at The View restaurant at the top of the Marriott Marque. With dinner and wine, the dinner was well in excess of a thousand bucks. The View slowly revolves, so the three hour dinner provided quite a New York view.

Since I didn't get permission, I won't show the faces of those in the Cluster (Bleep) Tuxedo Club.

My niece, a young fashion designer, donated for the auction a $2,000 party dress made of bamboo cloth, the most environmentally friendly fibre in the world. HERE ARE THE ITEMS FOR BID

This is a model, not my niece:

I spent a little time at the after party but the music was way too loud. I was hoping to find Alec Baldwin there and give him a greeting from his daughter. If I thought I might have been able to get some dirt on some libs, I would have hung around awhile longer. But I had to get up early the next day for some meetings and make preparations for the screening of HILLARY! UNCENSORED.

Celebs Help Cancer Research at Angel Ball

Last night marked the 10th annual Angel Ball, put on by Denise Rich and friends to raise money for the G&P Foundation for Cancer Research.

According to Fox news, “She (Denise) stuffed 1,400 people into the Marriott Marquis ballroom, mingling her performers with big A-list names such as Patti LaBelle, Chaka Khan, Natalie Cole, Joss Stone and John Legend with Kelly Ripa, Joan Collins, Clive Davis, Bar Refaeli, Petra Nemcova, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Chace Crawford… and so on.”

Denise set the star-studded gala up in memorial to her late daughter, Gabrielle, who died in 1996 at the young age of 27. And as a tribute, Gabrielle’s picture was flashed overhead on a screen at the beginning of the night’s festivities.

At the end of the evening, which cost $1,250 to attend, a grand total of $5 million was raised. Meanwhile, you still can bid on items from the G&P’s silent auction at Charitybuzz.com.

When I recover from sleep deprivation, I'll try to post a report with a few photos from the screenings of the film.

It would have been nice to speak with Denise about Aaron Tonken’s claim that she had said 200 million dollars was on the table for Clinton to pardon her husband.
