Police report sheds new light on Curtis encounter

State Rep. Richard Curtis, R-La Center, admitted to having sex with a man he met at an adult video store in Spokane last week, according to a police report released Tuesday afternoon.

The police report offers a damning and far different version of events from the brief account Curtis gave to The Columbian Monday, one that seems likely to threaten Curtis’ political future.

The report is filled with graphic details of an encounter that began at a porn store on a Spokane Valley strip and concluded miles away in Curtis’ room at the city’s poshest hotel.

The police report contains an account of how Curtis allegedly donned women’s clothing, red stockings and a black sequined lingerie top before engaging in a sex act at the store. He continued to wear them throughout the night under his clothing.

First of all we don’t even know if the allegations against Rep. Curtis are even true. If there turns out any merit to the charges, my main concern would be for his wife to get the AIDS test. One of the most dangerous things about the alternative lifestyle choice is their disregard for fatal diseases in their desperate search for some bizarre erotic kick.

“I guess words such as, let he who is without sin cast the first stone and judge not lest ye be judged have no place in today’s Republican party, the one going down the tubes fast and losing elections?

Strange how the felony of extortion in this case is forgotten and all anyone cares about is Curtis’s orientation. For all the talk of the hurt he causes his family, who is keeping it going the most?

The Democrats want rid of any who oppose their agenda and we gleefully oblige. Saul Alinsky couldn’t do it better.”

Pardon me but I choose to hold Republicans to higher moral standards than I do Democrats. I can forgive the sinner and condemn the sin. In this case, the Senator Craig case and the Senator Vitter case, the sin is adultery.
If there is no difference in the moral standing of the two major parties, how does that benefit the Republican Party?
I don’t think that its very politically asute to hand your opposition moral equivalency on a silver platter: Clinton-Lewinsky, Jefferson, and Barney Frank versus Foley, Craig, Vitter and this guy.

I congratulate you on achieving a level of perfection that very few ever have. I assume you hold yourself to the same “higher moral standards” that you do others, right?

I can also appreciate your ostentatious effort at upholding the absolute purity of our imperfect party.

In my lowly standing, since no sin or crime was committed against me, I would leave it as a matter between he and his wife and God. I find living my own life difficult enough without trying to live other peoples.

But, you have shown me the folly of my ways. We must hold any ally we have in this fight against Socialism and the implementation of the Gay agenda to absolute moral perfection, or rid them from our midsts. If it results in less support for saving our country and the passing of such immoral legislation as same-sex marriage, so be it. At least we are pure, right?

Who should we rid ourselves of next, Tammy Bruce? Why not Rush Limbaugh as well? He did have that bout with prescription drugs and was caught with Viagra. We all know what that is for and at the time, he was divorced and single. Surely we cannot have someone so immoral as to engage in sex outside the marriage within the party, right?

After all, we must maintain purity. The safety and well being of our country is second to the party purity, right?

Maybe one day you will wake up and see that not every Gay individual supports the Gay agenda and they are on our side. Or, should I say "were," since their immorality must taint our precious party purity?

You’re very good at sarcasm. Congratulations.
The Washington state representative in question resigned today. Hopefully he hasn’t done too much damage. Since he is a state representative and not a national figure, my hope is that the damage done is localized and short term.

I have no problem with anyone being gay. I do have a problem with politicians who are in the public eye, cheating on their spouses and getting arrested in men’s rooms, ending up on the phone list of prostitutes and being victimized by extortionists from having sex in porno shops while being male and wearing women’s clothing. If you don’t, oh well.
I believe that it benefits the left wing gay agenda to be able to “out” conservative Republicans and expose their closeted hypocrisy.

“all anyone cares about is Curtis’s orientation”

Be careful about falling for the liberal talking points. It’s not an ‘orientation’ any more than pedophilia is. It’s a lifestyle choice and a very unhealthy one at that.
