Where has the MSM been since the terrible crime described below was committed? Why have not Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton been excited like they were for the Duke Lacross players? And where is CNN, ABC and NBC to tell the nation about this one. What are they waiting for? This happened the end of January and have you heard about it yet?
The young couple was car-jacked, raped Christopher Newsom , cut off his penis, then set him on fire and fatally shot him several times while they forced his girlfriend, Channon Christian, to watch. Channon was beaten and gang-raped in many ways for four days by all of them, while they took turns urinating on her. Then they cut off her breast and put chemicals in her mouth ... Knoxville (WVLT) - The District Attorney General of Knox County announced the list of charges facing now five suspects in the double murder of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom .
The District Attorney General Randy Nichols is not saying whether or not he will seek the death penalty, but he does say the State will seek conviction for all charges filed in a 24-page indictment from the Knox County Grand Jury.
Lemaricus Davidson, 25, faces a total of 46 charges. Davidson was indicted on 16 counts of Felony Murder growing out of rape, robbery kidnapping and theft of Channon Christian and Chris Newsom, 2 counts premeditated murder of Christian and Newsom, 2 counts especially aggravated robberies from Christian and Newsom, 4 counts especially aggravated kidnapping of Christian and Newsom, 20 counts aggravated rape of Christian and Newsom, and 2 counts of theft from Christian and Newsom.
Letalvis Cobbins, 24, faces a total of 46 charges. Cobbins was indicted on 16 counts of Felony Murder growing out of rape, Robbery kidnapping and theft of Channon Christian and Chris Newsom , 2 counts premeditated murder of Christian and Newsom, 2 counts especially aggravated robberies from Christian and Newsom, 4 counts especially aggravated kidnapping of Christian and Newsom, 20 counts aggravated rape of Christian and Newsom, and 2 counts of theft from Christian and Newsom.
George Thomas, 24, faces a total of 46 charges. Thomas was indicted on 16 counts of Felony Murder growing out of rape, robbery kidnapping and theft of Channon Christian and Chris Newsom, 2 counts premeditated murder of Christian and Newsom, 2 counts especially aggravated robberies from Christian and Newsom, 4 counts especially aggravated kidnapping of Christian and Newsom, 20 counts aggravated rape of Christian and Newsom, and 2 counts of theft from Christian and Newsom.
Just last night, police in Lebanon , Kentucky , arrested 18-year-old Vanessa Coleman. She faces 40 Tennessee state charges. Coleman was indicted on 12 counts Felony Murder growing out of rape, robbery kidnapping and theft of Channon Christian and Chris Newsom, 1 count Premeditated Murder of Christian only, 1 count Especially Aggravated Robbery of Newsom only, 4 counts especially aggravated kidnapping of Christian and Newsom, 20 counts of aggravated rape of Christian and Newsom and 2 Counts of theft from Christian and Newsom.
Eric Boyd, 24, also arrested in connection with the fatal carjacking, only faces federal charges as an accessory after the fact. He was not indicted by Knox county grand jury.
Felony Murder carries a possibility of death, life without the possibility of parole and life with parole. Especially Aggravated Robbery is a Class A felony that carries a possibility of 15 to 60 years in prison. Aggravated Rape is a Class A felony that carries a possibility of 15 to 60 years of prison.
At a news conference Thursday , Nichols commended the cooperative efforts between several departments and credits that cooperation for the fast pace this case is moving through the court system.
Nichols says he hopes to move the case to trial on the first day it's set.
The four are expected to make their first court appearance within ten to fifteen days.
This is certainly a case garnering a lot of public interest, Nichols recognizes that and says he expects all kinds of requests filed in this case, including a change of venue in order to receive a fair trial. But he says he does hope 12 Knox County jurors will be able to determine the guilt or innocence of these suspects.
Where are Reverends Al and Jesse on this evident hate crime? Are they providing counsel and help to the families of the victims? Why hasn't this received National coverage by the news media like the Duke "rape" case? Why hasn't the NAACP, ACLU, New York Times, etc., called for an investigation? Why hasn't the FBI been called in to investigate this as a hate crime?

I would argue the consequences are as great as the fear. Speaking the truth about discrimination against whites in society when it appears results in being ostracized and sometimes assaulted. This discrimination is occurring more and more often. Blacks have lost fear as they’ve grown in wealth and power. Many blacks don’t believe that they shouldn’t discriminate because they are taught by liberals that they are the only ones who are discriminated against.

There was no controversy because the victims were white and the perps were black. Just as there was no controversy in the Wichita murders. And no controversy in the brutal murder a few weeks ago of the little girl in North Carolina.....
You aren't going to seriously maintain that four white guys could carjack a black couple, murder the man and then rape & torture the woman for days before murdering her, and the press would yawn at it, are you? Could two whites invade a home where five young black people are staying, force the females to perform assorted sex acts for their amusement, drive them to a secluded place and shoot them all in the head, and the press ignore it? What if one of the black females survived the gunshot, and crawled naked through the snow with a bullet in her head and lived to testify....wouldn't the entire world know her name and wouldn't a movie have already been made about it? You can't seriously believe the press would treat that as just another local crime.
How are the Knoxville and Wichita killings any less horrible than the James Byrd murder? In the Byrd case, the press went wild with months and months of coverage, including Dan Rather making regular trips down to Texas to cover the crime himself. The case was even brought up in the Bush-Gore presidential debate, with Gore not being satisfied that the murderers got the death penalty. He complained that they weren't also charged with a hate crime, and lectured Bush for not pushing a hate crime bill through the legislature.
You mean like all those lynchings that occurred in 1903? The ones that blacks supposedly live in horror of every day, to the point that a Halloween noose display is grounds for national news coverage as potential racial terror?

I have heard some coverage of this on local Chattanooga radio, but mostly that was over how CNN chose to initially report the story.
Several years ago after attending a convention in Knoxville, I left to return to my home north of Chattanooga. I took a wrong turn leaving the convention center and wound up "on the wrong side of the tracks". As I worked my way back to the interstate, I stopped at a red light in a seedy section of town. This was about 12:30 AM. A black guy tried to get in the truck with me as I was stopped at that light. Had I not had my Colt .45 with me I'm sure this guy would have tried to roll me. No doubt about it. These sorts of "events" would be far less frequent if CC permits were easier to get.

I will also give this example.When I started my substitute teaching adventures in 1970.it was very common to be called”honky”and hear the “Can’t no white man teach me nothin’”kind of diatribes.I am talking about New Orleans AND San Francisco.Lots of deep anti-white hostility.
Its been years since I have been called”white boy”or “cracker”by black kids and I deal with them every day.Not to say they are on the right track because the thug and I don’t give an F mentality is very destructive and prevalent.Yet 90% of the incidents I see in the schools are black on black.
1) The article is from February. OLD. Which leads to my second point...
2) The news doesn’t cover it because there is no change or development in the story. Every thing about it is the same as it was when this was written in February. There is no continuing drama about whether or not the murdering SOBs did it or not (they did) or whether or not they’ll be convicted (they will be). It was a gruesome killing, but frankly those are a dime a dozen in the US (there’s 300 million of us, after all), not to mention what’s happening in wars all around the world.
There is no reason for it to be in the spotlight night after night except for those with some weird macabre fascination with the crime.
