Albania Lobbies Islamic Conference over Kosovo (While US lobbies in UN)

29 10 2007 Tirana _ Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha has called on Egypt to persuade the Organisation of the Islamic Conference, OIC, member-states to recognize en bloc a possible declaration of independence by Kosovo.

While presenting Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit with an overview of the situation in UN-administered Kosovo, Berisha asked his host to use Egypt’s considerable influence with the other Arab states.

“After December 10, Kosovo must declare independence in coordination with the USA and the EU. It can’t be a part of Serbia because historically it has not been a part of Serbia,” Berisha said during the meeting in Cairo on Sunday, media reported.

Although administered by the UN since the war of 1999, Kosovo formally belongs to Serbia which does not want to concede the Kosovo Albanians’ demand for independence.

Gheit promised the Albanian prime minister that his country would make a substantial effort to make Kosovo a priority issue at the next OIC Islamic Summit Conference, due in Senegal in March 2008.

Kosovo Albanian leaders have slammed the latest round of talks in Vienna on their homeland’s status as unproductive.

The current phase of talks since August has been overseen by a “Troika” of international mediators.

Several Kosovar leaders have declared that if the ongoing negotiations fail to produce agreement, Kosovo should press ahead with a unilateral declaration of independence.

Albania announced it was joining the OIC in 1992, a few months after the collapse of its hardline communist regime.

It is the only country in Europe where the majority of the population have a Muslim cultural background.

Three things I'd like to see happen a month and a half prior to the 08 elections, all on the same cay:

In the case of the state department I don't really need mass carnage; I'd settle for permanent cases of amnesia for everybody who ever worked in the place.

Aztlan can’t be a part of the United States of America because historically it has not been a part of the United States of America!

Every idiotic statement that we permit in support of the creation of the terrorist state of Kosovo will come back to haunt the USA when the illegal immigrants steal Aztlan.

I’m afraid you are right. This is a sell out to the saudis.

The question is who will blink first: oil trillions funding Islamic imperialism or civilization.

That said, the battle has just begun...again.

Berisha: "Kosovo can’t be a part of Serbia because historically it has not been a part of Serbia"

Well. That settles that. I just pray the bastards don't notice Maryland.

Take Baltimore and Montgomery counties out of Md. and Md. would be a perfectly normal place. If we ever do split the country up, it should probably be on a county basis.

Albanians have been always been trying rewrite history regarding Kosovo, yet they have no evidence to support their stupidity.

Perhaps the Albanians would be interested in Baltimore. I am certain it probably would not be too lawless for them, and the natives there are reputed to enjoy Grand Theft Auto just as much as Albanians, for whom it is the number 1 foreign currency earner.

PJ O'Rourke said it all: "Albania, the only country whose goverment was brought down and bankrupted by a chain letter." And, it just happens to be true!

The O'Malley and these people are made for each other. Bill Clinton thought enough of these quaint and colorful European Muslims to make them our allies in the region.

Say jed, I didn't mean to be so nasty about the Albanians.I certainly wouldn't want any freepers to get the wrong idea about these jolly mountain Muslim folk.

They have a rich and varied culture. In fact, stolen autos and chop shops account probably make up a bit less of the Albanian GNP than do their booming international brothel operations, the heroin import, refining and distribution rackets, kidnapping, and smuggling. They do, in all fairness also make legitimate money from tourism. Albanians run many R&R Tours for Islamic Terrorists of every stripe and are big in COMBLOC war surplus.

I think it's very unfair that they are treated so harshly when they travel. Surely all those bad things Interpol says about them cannot be true.

Of course an islamic conference would support islamic expansion and conquest (Fateh).

That’s nothing new, and means NOTHING in terms of legitimizing Kosovo “independence”.

Whenever the interests of ordinary, middle-class working people came into conflict with the interests of trash, you could absolutely count on SlicKKK KKKlinton to come down four-square on the side of the trash. That’s what happened in Kosovo.

I have to doubt that W would have done Kosovo to begin with, particularly since the pentagon recommended against it. Nonetheless W clearly lacks whatever it would take to reverse such a perverted policy at this juncture.
